Michelin CrossClimate Owner Reviews

Review this tyre

What owners say summarised from 137 reviews

Owners largely agree the Michelin CrossClimate is a strong all-rounder, most often praised for confident dry and wet grip, low noise and reassuring traction in light-to-moderate snow. Longevity is another standout, with many reporting impressively high mileages for an all-season tyre, and ride comfort is frequently described as very good. A smaller but noticeable minority (around one in ten) mention compromises such as reduced steering feel, and some also flag it as expensive or not the best for fuel economy.

Just had the tyres fitted and I am very pleased, nice and quiet on dry roads, excellent in the wet. now I need to test them in the snow. I have worked in the tyre trade for 40 plus years and I think Michelin are on to a winner with these tyres. It would be nice to see these fitted as o.e on cars in the future.

On a 1.4 astra, these are miles better than the hankook Ventus set they replaced. As others have said, these are quiet but a different kind of quiet. Also, they are fantastic in the wet and I look forward to a bit of cold / snow etc to see how they fair there. I only have fronts at the moment but considering rears before winter falls.

Nice and quiet (what noise there is is a bit different than normal, like a sticky patter). Both wet and dry grip great so far. Rolling resistance seems low and getting better mpg already. Side walls stiffer and straighter than previous Chinese ditch finders (mixture of Kingstar, Primewell and Roadsail) which bowed out quite a bit. Comfortable, absorb road bumps very well. Can't wait for winter!

I just buy the cross climates 195/60/15 for my Focus, it's summer here in Greece with 41C degrees! The tyres are great! Stucked to the road, noiseless, and with very good grip and handling. Better from my previous Michelin enrgy savers to dry, for now, roads. When i ll have news for dry conditions i ll be back with a review. I feel safe with the thinking that i will waking up with rain or snow and in the meantime the sun shows up and the roads become dry, all these with the same tyres. I think that Michelin changes the rules of tyres market, with this 2 in 1 and new category tyre, the Crossclimate.

After almost 1000 klm more, i have to give my congratulations to the people of Michelin. I drove in high temperatures (above 40 C) i also went at highlands with temperatures 16 C to 35 C, with full load and roof box. The feeling was great and the tyres had perfect grip at all dry conditions. But the highlight was when i fell in heavy rain, the car steering like a n army tanks, stuck at the road and in places with stagnant water passed flawlessly. Also i tested them with hard braking just to feel how the tyres responds at wet and very wet road. The braking was great!!! I have only to wait the winter for the snow test.

Bravo again toMmichelin, great job!

Quick drive on newly fitted tyres (8 May 2015): don't want to comment on handling and grip yet as I haven't given the car much and the tyres are new with release agent present. However, I can say the comfort of these tyres is beyond anything I have experienced in 25 years of motoring and, sadly, I have been interested in tyres throughout this time.

They are Soooooooo quiet on my wife's MK6 Golf Estate and they absorb the road imperfections to the same level as my 4x4 with high sidewalls. Only 5 hours into early ownership and I am already very impressed, I will review more once I have a few miles on the tyres.
