Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Diablo Corsa Rosso 111 front tyre delaminated. Not a happy chappie.

Given 86% while driving a Ducati 959 panigale (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 4,000 spirited miles
I ride a Ducati 959 panigale. It’s used mainly for quick A and B road riding. These tyres do all I need of them, they are stable under heavy braking and give good feedback... The grip is excellent at all angles of lean and very predictable. They are also confidence inspiring in wet conditions. I got 4,000 miles out of the rear. Definitely replacing with more of the same. Good tyres.

Given 87% while driving a Yamaha R1 (190/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Always used Pirelli’s on my R1 and the Rosso3 is the best yet. Great grip and usability as-well and if you drop the pressures can be used as a ‘decent’ track tyre. Would definitely recommend and will be getting another set of these tyres

Absolutely amazing grip in all conditions on my 959 Panigale. No problem in planting your knee firmly into the ground once the front has warmed up a bit. Yet to do a trackday on them but I feel 100% confident that they'll do an excellent job. Also rode from Dorset to LeMans and back via mostly French motorway, yet hardly any “squaring off” at all.

Given 69% while driving a Triumph Speed Triple (190/55 R17) on mostly country roads for 1,500 spirited miles
Replaced the Supercorsas that came on the Speed Triple R, only complaint with those was wet weather grip. The Rosso 3's were much better in the wet and great in the dry, being trippy with plenty feel. The drawback is wear, after only 1500 miles the rear is almost on the limit, the sportier supercorsas gave 3k. Pirelli claims more mileage, sorry, just not true in my experience. Will try something else when changing them.

(160/60 R17 W) on for 0 miles
tyres warm up fast, even the cold tyre grip is great. Great feedback at the limit of the grip. Made 500kms, they feel great. My riding style is more agressive, i mostly ride on twisties. Got a KTM 690 R. Hope it helps.

On a multistrada 1200 have repleaced the very good TOURING scorpion trail, because i needed a faster tyre, it grips awesome when it warms up, its more for sport driving and not for touring. For those who need a fast tyre is one of the best choise you can make. Have only 1500klm with them and im happy that i have buy them. With my driving style with the flat scorpion trails have no chicken strips but with the rosso 3 have an other 2fingers of tire to get advantage of.
