Hankook iON FlexClimate vs Vredestein Quatrac Pro EV
Across these shared tests, the Hankook consistently led every measurable safety metric-dry, wet, aquaplaning, and snow-often by meaningful margins. The Vredestein counters with a comfort-focused character and low noise, but its winter shortfall and weaker wet braking place it firmly behind the Hankook for all-weather security.

Test Results
Independent comparison tyre tests are the best source of data to get tyre information from, and the good news is there have been two tests which compare both tyres directly!

While it might look like the Hankook iON FlexClimate is better than the Vredestein Quatrac Pro EV purely based on the higher number of test wins, tyres are very complicated objects which means where one tyre is better than the other can be more important in real world use.
Let's look at how the two tyres compare across multiple tyre test categories.
Key Strengths
- Class-leading wet safety: notably shorter wet braking (−7.6% to −16.7%) and stronger aquaplaning resistance
- Convincing winter capability with quicker traction and shorter snow stops (up to ~18% advantage)
- Balanced, precise handling with direct steering on dry and wet
- Low rolling resistance for EV range without sacrificing grip
- Comfort-oriented ride with low noise levels
- Good general-road manners in dry and moderate wet conditions
- Respectable lateral wet grip (TÜV ~97.8% of benchmark)
- Energy-efficient focus with low rolling resistance characteristics

Previous tires were Pilot Sport 4
Tire is confidence inspiring. Grip is good and predictable. Noise level is lower than average, rid comfort is good. Can't say anything yet about wear.
They are quieter than the Pilot Sport. Comfort is better. Grip is slightly worse in the dry.
Very good overall tire so far. Can recommend it.
So far, my impressions of the Quatrac Pro EV are positive. They feel slightly softer and more comfortable, with noise levels that seem about the same. These tyres don’t have the foam band on the inside like some other models.
I typically drive aggressively with Slip-Start... Continue reading this review using the link below
Conclusion
Vredestein's Quatrac Pro EV suits drivers who value ride comfort and quietness in milder regions, but its deficits in snow and wet stopping distance make it harder to recommend as a four-season safety net. For most EV owners, especially where rain and occasional snow are realities, the Hankook is the clear, confidence-inspiring choice. If you rarely see winter and prioritize cabin refinement, the Vredestein remains a viable, comfort-led alternative.

Footnote
This page has been developed using tyre industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tyres in the same test.
Why is this important? Tyre testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tyre test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tyre tests performed on different days or at different locations.
As a result you will see other tests on Tyre Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.
Lots of other websites do this sort of tyre comparison, Tyre Reviews doesn't.
