In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 36 m stop against 34.2 m is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 98%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 8 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tyres shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.

Drivers describe the Nexen N Fera Sport SU2 as a strong value-focused performance tyre with very good dry and wet grip, confident handling, and stability at speed for the money. However, a large share of users report short tread life (often with heavy/uneven shoulder wear) and many also mention poor refinement as the tyre ages, including increased road noise and a harsher ride. Overall sentiment is mixed, with performance praised but longevity and comfort commonly limiting repeat purchases.
- Very good dry grip and handling
- Strong wet grip and confidence in rain
- Good value/price versus premium brands
- Stable and predictable at higher speeds
- Fast wear/short tread life (often uneven shoulder wear)
- High road noise and mediocre comfort/harsh ride
- Weaker performance in cold temperatures

All 18 N Fera Sport SU2 reviewsI've driven the tyre's about 40 000km on my family diesel wagon. The final result is four summers and they're gone. The protector is about 4mm,the outer side of the tires is melted like slick tire, and pieces of rubber come off. After a little bump one of the tires got a puncture in the side board, which surprised me a little, but for the price everything is OK.The grip is very good in wet and dry, they perform good in dynamic driving...when they new :)

All 4 Powerproof 1 reviewsBought them because of the price, 70 euro/tyre size 225/50/17. Mine are made in china, idk if this is a disadvantage or is a lower quality than the ones that are made in other country.
Personally, pretty good tyres overall, good grip in both dry and wet conditions and good stability. Tyres are a little noisy, but it's not that bad. Not that confortable as expected, but very decent for their price.

Reading the results
Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.
Three shared tests in 2025, and the two of them keep swapping places: the Nexen N Fera Sport SU2 finished ahead at Auto Bild's performance test and at ADAC, the Nokian Powerproof 1 ahead in Auto Bild's 52 tyre braking shootout. Nobody has run away with this.
Read the measurements and a division appears. The Nokian is the quicker tyre where a lap time or a braking distance is being taken in isolation: it led dry handling by 2.1 percent at Auto Bild, braked shorter in the wet there and in the shootout, and had the better straight aquaplaning in both tests that measured it.
The Nexen owns the running costs. It was the quieter tyre in both noise measurements, projected to last longer in both wear tests, 34,780km against 31,820km and 43,700km against 42,500km, and it came out cheaper per 1000km in both. ADAC's verdicts split along exactly that line: good overall for the Nexen, satisfactory for the Nokian, which its testers marked down for inadequate feedback and a lack of precision on dry roads.
Conclusion
The Nexen N Fera Sport SU2 is the safer bet for a road car being driven normally. It stopped shorter in the dry at ADAC by 3.4 percent, 36.5m against 37.8m, and shorter in the wet there too on both asphalt and concrete. It was quieter in both tests that measured noise, 71.3dB against 72.4dB and 72.1dB against 72.7dB, it lasted longer in both wear tests, and it was cheaper per 1000km in both. ADAC gave it a good overall rating with good marks for both driving safety and environmental performance, and it finished 10th of 18 there against the Nokian's 14th.
The Nokian Powerproof 1 is the one to have if you value outright pace. At Auto Bild it was 2.4km/h quicker through dry handling, 117.1km/h against 114.7km/h, and it braked shorter in the wet by 0.8m. It led straight aquaplaning in both tests that measured it, curved aquaplaning at ADAC by 6.7 percent, used slightly less fuel and abraded 9.4 percent less rubber per kilometre. Auto Bild's own note on it praised short braking distances, quiet rolling noise and low rolling resistance.
The awkward part is ADAC's dry road criticism, which reads oddly next to the Nokian's Auto Bild handling win: the same tyre is described as quick and as short of feedback, so the difference is in what each test rewards. Overall the margins here are small, and the Nexen wins the argument on the things you pay for every month while the Nokian wins the ones you notice on a good road.

Where this data comes from
Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tyres ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.
About the TR Score
The Tyre Reviews Score rates each tyre out of 10 from every independent test result and vetted owner review we hold, so two tyres can be compared even before a test has run them together.
Who does the testing
Every test published as a Tyre Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tyres independently since 2007.
