Bridgestone Weather Control A005 Owner Reviews

Review this tyre

What owners say summarised from 75 reviews

Drivers report the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 delivers standout wet-weather grip and strong confidence in rain, with many also praising stable dry handling and generally good comfort when new. However, a substantial portion of reviews describe very short tread life and durability issues (rapid wear, uneven wear/cupping, and tread tearing/peeling), often leading to early replacement. Snow and ice performance is frequently criticized as below expectations for an all-season tyre, especially on inclines or compacted snow.

Thoroughly pleased with these tyres. Yes, they are expensive (in this size) and It's too early to tell as far as wear goes and I haven't had a chance to test their capabilities in snow/ice yet but in everything else in comparison with the OEM Continental SportContact 5 SUV Tyres they are so much better.

The car feels smoother although slightly firmer. Steering is more direct. Overall the car feels nicer to drive and passengers have commented the same.

Economy is an area I wasn't expecting anything but the car has gone from struggling to achieve 30mpg, max of 34 of a perfect motorway run to returning 37mpg on a recent mixed journey! Colour me impressed!

I just hope they are half as good in colder weather, I will be taking them on a trip to the French Alps this winter so we shall see.

These are replacing Michelin Primacy 3's. Was tempted to get cross climates but the Bridgestone where considerably cheaper at the time and I thought I'd give them a chance.

So far no worries been driving around like I would on the Michelin's and not noticed any difference in grip or comfort over bumps. The ride seems a little better, more direct steering (the Michelin's felt a little squishy).

Hopefully these will handle better in the cold than the Michelin's I had, I don't think they where great in slush or a dusting of snow.

Not noticed much difference in economy, to early. Will update when more miles have been covered.

They replaced Yokohama all seasons. Outstanding, excellent road feedback, on wet road really impressive, very good cornering when compared to factory fitted tyres -they also were Yokohama-. Quite riding. They do not look to be a compromise between summer and winter tyres, good value for money if performance will stand -tread life 40,000 km?-.
Italian climate (no high mountain and extreme snow): definitely I do think these tyres are the solution. Pretty sure they behave very good in snow as well (my car is 4x4, even with M+S tyres in deep snow never had problem).

Brand new All Weather tyres for the upcoming season.
Aprox. 7,3mm tread depth.
They are replacing the OEM Michelin Energy Saver+, an so far the feel more quiet, and a bit softer and giving a more comfortable ride.
They are priced in the same range as the Goodyear, Continental, and Michelin, so we will have to wait and see how long they will last.
