In the US, the Nankang CX 668 carries a UTQG treadwear grade of 440, with traction A and temperature A-B. UTQG treadwear is relative: a tyre graded 400 lasted four times as long as the reference tyre, graded 100, on the government test course. Nankang backs it with a 40,000-mile limited treadwear warranty. New tread depth is 8-10/32" (6.4-7.9 mm), depending on size.

I this tyre a good match for a classic VW Beetle with std size rims for occasional summer only use, the last tyres I fitted were 155x80 R15 so will these be ok?

Unfortunately we've not tested this particular Nankang tyre. Generally Nankang tyres are now ok for the price, but still lacking grip especially in the wet. For occasional summer use I'm sure these would be fine.
