Data updated

Which should you buy?

Choose the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 for the more dependable all-round package, especially if wet-road braking, handling confidence, and longer service life matter most. Consider the Giti AllSeason AS2 if snow grip and aquaplaning resistance are higher priorities and its purchase price is compelling-but check local pricing carefully, since one test found its running costs poor despite its snow strengths.

  • Consistently shorter dry braking distances across all five shared tests.
  • Consistently shorter wet braking distances; the 2024 Auto Bild result was 8.1 m shorter than the Giti's.

Wins count every measurement the shared tests recorded for both tyres; a tick marks the tyre ahead on that line. Subjective driver scores count as wins but are never averaged, because each test uses its own scale.

Head to head in 5 tests, 2024 to 2026

Each row is one published test in which both tyres ran on the same car, in the same size, on the same day. The line is the whole field, winner on the left.

Point at or tap any spoke for both tyres' figures.

In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 36 m stop against 34.2 m is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 90%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 9 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Every measurement, side by side

Averages of the figures both tyres posted in the same tests. The gap is the average of each test's own gap, so figures from different cars and years are never mixed. Open a discipline for its measurements, and a measurement for every test's figure.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tyres shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.

Scores beyond the shared tests

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6

  • 79%from 44 reviews
  • 76%would buy again
  • 393,509 milesdriven by reviewers

Owners broadly rate the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 as a very safe, summer-leaning all-season tyre, with a clear consensus around strong wet grip (mentioned by over half of reviewers) and similarly impressive dry grip. Snow traction is generally described as capable for occasional winter use, and around a third of owners also report encouraging tread life. The main drawbacks are feel and efficiency: around one in four owners complain of numb steering feedback and a similar share report higher rolling resistance/fuel consumption, while road noise is divisive with near-even praise and criticism.

  • Very strong wet grip and confidence in heavy rain
  • High dry grip that feels close to a summer tyre
  • Capable snow traction for light to moderate winter conditions
  • Good tread life for year-round use
  • Numb steering feel and limited feedback near the limit
  • Higher rolling resistance and a noticeable fuel economy hit for some
  • Road noise can be intrusive on certain surfaces, despite others finding it quiet

Now nearly 2 years and 20k miles in. These tyres are still as good as they were new and tread has only dropped to 5-6mm all round, suggesting >40,000 miles a set which is more than the OE Pirelli P7 summer tyres managed. Have experienced winter slush and light snow without any grip issues, when the car felt stable and safe, but as I live on the south coast with regular trips to family in Yorkshire, they don’t need to be a dedicated winter tyre. Economy unchanged around 45mpg overall, 50mpg on a motorway run. For my use, these have been very impressive and I would be happy to replace them with another set, although there may be even better choices in 3 years when these should be just about done.

Reading the results

Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.

The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 and Giti AllSeason AS2 are both premium-touring all-season tyres, but the shared tests show different priorities. Across five comparisons, the Bridgestone more consistently delivers short braking distances and balanced road performance, while the Giti's clearest advantages appear on snow and in aquaplaning resistance.

Conclusion

The Bridgestone is the stronger all-round choice in this evidence: it beats the Giti in dry and wet braking in all five shared tests, and it generally handles dry and wet roads more confidently. The gaps can matter in everyday safety-most notably, the 2024 Auto Bild test recorded wet braking distances of 50.5 m for the Bridgestone and 58.6 m for the Giti. Bridgestone also showed a substantial longevity advantage in the tests that measured wear: predicted mileage was 50,250 km versus 29,250 km in the 2026 Auto Zeitung test, and 54,800 km versus 40,800 km in the 2024 Auto Bild test.

Where this data comes from

Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tyres ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.

About the TR Score

The Tyre Reviews Score rates each tyre out of 10 from every independent test result and vetted owner review we hold, so two tyres can be compared even before a test has run them together.

Who does the testing

Every test published as a Tyre Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tyres independently since 2007.
