Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 vs Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3

Two of the most sought-after premium all-season touring tyres go head-to-head: Bridgestone's Turanza All Season 6 and Goodyear's Vector 4Seasons Gen-3. Across 19 shared tests from 2023-2025, both consistently score near the top, but they take very different routes to year-round performance.

Bridgestone builds its case on class-leading stopping power in the dry and wet and very strong straight-line aquaplaning resistance. Goodyear counters with superior winter traction and control, better comfort and noise, and generally lower energy use and wear in several major tests (notably ADAC). The result is a clear split: Bridgestone for safety-critical braking and summer-leaning balance, Goodyear for winter security and long-term running economy.

Real World Driver Reviews

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 Driver Reviews

Drivers generally describe the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 as a confidence-inspiring all-season tyre with strong wet performance (including good aquaplaning resistance) and very capable dry grip that can feel close to a summer tyre. Comfort and refinement are frequently praised, with many finding it quiet and plush for daily touring, alongside solid tread life expectations. A recurring minority drawback is a numb/soft steering feel that reduces "fun" and feedback, with some also noting slightly higher rolling resistance/fuel use and occasional motorway-speed harshness or noise.

Based on 30 reviews with an average rating of 80%

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 Driver Reviews

Across most reviews, the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 is described as a highly capable all-round tyre with standout wet-road security (strong grip, wet braking, and aquaplaning resistance) and confidence in cold conditions including snow for an all-season. Many drivers also report very good longevity/wear and a generally quiet, comfortable ride. The most repeated drawbacks are a softer, less precise steering/feedback feel and slightly weaker dry braking/traction when pushed in warm or hot conditions compared with dedicated summer tyres.

Hi, I've done around 500km on new Turanza, mainly in city. I've got Mondeo mk4 1.6TDCI after chip. I've used previously Vredestein Quatrac Pro. I've have tested so far Bridgestone on the dry and wet in 20-5C. So far they more comfortable than Vredestein Quatrac Pro, noise is around the same (so they rather quiet tires - I've been using 225/50 R17 (not a standard Mondeo mk4, but similiar size (a bit bigger than standard 215/50R17 and smaller than next standard tire 235/45R18))). On dry Bridgestones are more gripper than Vredestein and on wet the are excellent compared to Vredestein. On Quatrac... Continue reading this review using the link below

Given 83% 205/55 R16 on a combination of roads for 3,750 spirited miles
Almost time to switch back to my summer tyres. So, here’s my impression of my “mild climate winter” tyres. I used to drive on Continental WinterContact TS860 winter tyres, but last winters, I noticed that I almost never drive on snow. And in spring and fall, when temperatures jump up and down, I was sometimes driving on my winter tyres at temperatures around 20°C. So now, I followed your advice and chose All Season tyres for the winter season. I drove them for about 6.000 km now in temperatures between -2 and +16 °C, in the dry and in lots of rain.
Just after switching to the... Continue reading this review using the link below

Conclusion

Patterns across the tests are consistent: Bridgestone dominates dry and wet braking (winning 18/18 dry braking and 16/17 wet braking matchups) and usually leads straight-line aquaplaning, translating to excellent all-weather safety margins when you need to stop or shed speed. Goodyear typically steers and flows better on limit in wet/dry handling, but its longer braking-especially in the wet-costs it outright rankings in several 2025 tests. In winter, Goodyear is the stronger performer, repeatedly posting shorter snow/ice stops and higher traction.

Value splits too. ADAC shows Goodyear with far higher projected mileage (+44%) and better overall efficiency, while other tests cite Bridgestone as strong value when purchase price is considered. If your driving includes frequent heavy rain and you prioritise the shortest possible stops, Bridgestone is the safer bet. If you face regular snow/ice and want quieter, comfier, longer-lasting tyres with good balance, pick Goodyear. The practical takeaway: choose Bridgestone for braking-led safety year-round in milder winters; choose Goodyear for winter-biased climates and lower total cost of ownership.
Key Differences
  • Braking: Bridgestone stops shorter in both dry and wet by meaningful margins in most tests; Goodyear's wet stops can be a full car length longer.
  • Winter: Goodyear leads snow/ice braking and traction; Bridgestone is adequate but often last among top rivals on snow.
  • Handling balance: Goodyear more agile and composed at the limit; Bridgestone a touch slower to react but secure.
  • Aquaplaning: Bridgestone usually wins straight-line; Goodyear sometimes stronger in curved aquaplaning.
  • Comfort/noise: Goodyear is generally quieter and more comfortable; Bridgestone can be louder and firmer.
  • Running costs: Goodyear often delivers higher mileage and lower abrasion; Bridgestone sometimes shows higher rolling resistance but can offer better upfront value.

Footnote

This page has been developed using tyre industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tyres in the same test.

Why is this important? Tyre testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tyre test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tyre tests performed on different days or at different locations.

As a result you will see other tests on Tyre Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.

Lots of other websites do this sort of tyre comparison, Tyre Reviews doesn't.
