Wins count every measurement the shared tests recorded for both tyres; a tick marks the tyre ahead on that line. Subjective driver scores count as wins but are never averaged, because each test uses its own scale.

In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 36 m stop against 34.2 m is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 92%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 4 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tyres shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.

- 393,509 milesdriven by reviewers
Owners broadly rate the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 as a very safe, summer-leaning all-season tyre, with a clear consensus around strong wet grip (mentioned by over half of reviewers) and similarly impressive dry grip. Snow traction is generally described as capable for occasional winter use, and around a third of owners also report encouraging tread life. The main drawbacks are feel and efficiency: around one in four owners complain of numb steering feedback and a similar share report higher rolling resistance/fuel consumption, while road noise is divisive with near-even praise and criticism.
- Very strong wet grip and confidence in heavy rain
- High dry grip that feels close to a summer tyre
- Capable snow traction for light to moderate winter conditions
- Good tread life for year-round use
- Numb steering feel and limited feedback near the limit
- Higher rolling resistance and a noticeable fuel economy hit for some
- Road noise can be intrusive on certain surfaces, despite others finding it quiet

All 44 Turanza All Season 6 reviewsNow nearly 2 years and 20k miles in. These tyres are still as good as they were new and tread has only dropped to 5-6mm all round, suggesting >40,000 miles a set which is more than the OE Pirelli P7 summer tyres managed. Have experienced winter slush and light snow without any grip issues, when the car felt stable and safe, but as I live on the south coast with regular trips to family in Yorkshire, they don’t need to be a dedicated winter tyre. Economy unchanged around 45mpg overall, 50mpg on a motorway run. For my use, these have been very impressive and I would be happy to replace them with another set, although there may be even better choices in 3 years when these should be just about done.

Reading the results
Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.
This head-to-head pits Bridgestone's premium Turanza All Season 6 against Viking's budget-friendly FourTech Plus, both aimed at year-round convenience for passenger cars. Across six shared tests in 2024-2025, the Bridgestone consistently lands near the top, while the Viking delivers selective strengths at a lower price point.
The pattern is clear: Bridgestone dominates objective safety disciplines-especially dry and wet braking-often by meaningful margins (typically 9-15% shorter stops). Viking counters with niche wins in curved aquaplaning and on-snow braking/traction in certain tests, plus slightly lower fuel use and noise in some cases. If you prioritize all-weather safety with minimal compromise, the Bridgestone sets the benchmark; if cost and occasional winter emphasis matter most, the Viking has appeal with caveats.
Conclusion
Across multiple sizes and test bodies, the Turanza All Season 6 is the more rounded, safety-forward tyre. It repeatedly stops shorter on dry and wet roads, handles predictably in the rain, resists straight-line aquaplaning well, and typically wears longer-all translating to everyday confidence and long-term value. Its few trade-offs are modest: slightly higher noise/comfort penalties versus the quietest rivals and only average snow braking in some tests.
The FourTech Plus offers credible snow grip and strong curved-aquaplaning resistance in a few evaluations, with small advantages in noise and fuel consumption at times. However, extended braking distances-especially dry and often wet-plus softer steering precision cap its ceiling. For drivers who rarely push on dry roads and want a budget option that's acceptable in winter, it can fit; for most users seeking balanced safety in mixed conditions, Bridgestone is the safer, more consistent choice.

Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tyres ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.
About the TR Score
The Tyre Reviews Score rates each tyre out of 10 from every independent test result and vetted owner review we hold, so two tyres can be compared even before a test has run them together.
Who does the testing
Every test published as a Tyre Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tyres independently since 2007.
