Performance Analysis
Drawn from 4 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.
The Atlas Green 4S has repeatedly finished at or near the bottom of Auto Bild's all-season braking comparisons, with wet stopping the clear weakness. It was last overall in 2020 and 2022, 33rd of 35 in 2023 and 26th of 27 in 2018. Wet braking was last of 33 in 2020 at 63 metres, 40% longer than best; last of 37 in 2022 at 66.2 metres, 52.9% longer; and 34th of 35 in 2023 at 61.7 metres, 37.1% longer. That is a consistent and substantial wet-stopping deficit across three sizes.
Dry braking was less weak, but generally did not establish a strength. It ranked 23rd of 35 in 2023, 12.5% longer than best, and 20th of 37 in 2022, 23.3% longer. The 2020 dry result was unusually favourable by placing, 12th of 33, although the distance was still 9.7% longer than the shortest. These are braking comparisons rather than full assessments of snow grip, aquaplaning, handling, comfort or wear. They support a clear judgement about weak wet stopping without establishing how the tyre performs in those other areas.
