Owners broadly agree the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 delivers strong all-round performance, with particularly high confidence in dry and wet grip, and many noting a quieter, smoother ride than previous fitments. Comfort and low noise are frequent highlights, and a good number also report it feels secure and capable when pushed on dry roads. The main reservations are that tread life and steering feel can be hit-and-miss (raised by around a quarter of owners), while around one in ten specifically complain of overly soft sidewalls and a small but notable minority report puncture vulnerability.

I've got to say I'm disappointed with these tyres when compared to the Asymmetric 2.
They don't feel anywhere near as planted as they should - under steer is more pronounced - noise is also an issue, they say they are quieter...but they aren't. The look of the tyre has changed as well, the side walls are larger and chunkier so no longer look like a low profile tyre.
One good advantage of the Asymmetric 2 was the rim protector - it was nice and meaty and saved my rims quite a few times. The Asymmetric 3 has no where near the protector - doubt it would stop much.
All this is probably why the Asymmetric 3's are cheap compared to the 2's.
Real shame as the Asymmetric 2 was the best tyre I could fined - hopefully they keep them going along side the 3's.
I changed my Goodyear Ultragrip Performance Gen-1 winter tyres with Asmmetric 3 a while ago. I drove it both dry and wet roads. My first impression is this tyres give you a really smooth, progresive and secure drive but its not so silent as i expected. Its definetly silent in new and clean roads but it can be little noiser in old and rippled ones. Even my winter tyres have 70db on sound emission and this one 68; i cant really say that Asymmetric 3 is more silent than my winter tyres. But it gives much more comfort and wet and dry grip above 10 degrees. I also tested its braking performance in dry and wet roads and i can clearly say that, it sitcks to road surface like a glue when you braking. Specially in wet roads grip is extremely high and braking distance is unexpectedly short. My winter tyres promise a better fuel efficiency but these tyres also give enough performance. At least for a E class tyre, they give convincing results in fuel effiency.
I can't be sure about tyre wear but so far it looks like it's never been usen; but will update 4 or 5000 kilometres later about wear condtion.
So far i can definitely recommend Asymmetric 3 and i surely would buy again!
Check out how the BEST all seasons tyres perform against premium summer and winter tyres!
Good Year F1 Asymmetric 3, Changed all four tyres. My ST is standard with no modifications & it's transformed the cars handling & gives you much more confidence & feedback in the corners giving you a more relaxed driving experience. The grip feels excellent in the dry & to be honest the same confidence in wet conditions, Road noise is fine to hold a conversation at motorway speeds this depends on road surface. The wear looks fine at the moment after 2000 miles but I've not had them fitted that long. I used to have Continental Sport Contact 5 fitted which were good but all four tyres were worn out after just 8000 miles which I thought was pretty poor so I changed to the Good Year Tyres so far so good.
Which tyres do you drive?

I had gislaved ultra speed and i was not happy at all, to much wheelspin. I was between michelin ps4 and goodyear asym 3. I choose the second cause they were cheaper. After 2000km so far Eagle f1 asym 3 are so comfortable and quiet. Also the grid on wet and dry is fantastic. I would buy the same tyres for sure. Will recommend soon.
Had Dunlop SportMaxx RT before I fitted these ones, which were good/very good I thought.
Dry and wet grip is much better, comfort has improved big time, which surprised me! Handling and braking excellent! They do give you confidence.
Can't wait for the summer really, because what these tyres offer in current temperatures and crap weather is amazing. Hard to imagine how much better these will perfrom in +20 and dry conditions! Definitely will buy again! Brilliant price as well from blackcircles! Well recommended!
Having put these on my Stage 3 Focus ST (320BHP) and they work very well. Dry grip is fantastic considering the amount of torque this car produces.
Wet grip is pretty good too, You do get some wheelspin but with the correct throttle you can pull off with minor spin.
Can't comment on wear and comfort seems like any normal performance tyre.

Just had these AS 3's fitted to my Audi s3 8p they have replace my old
Goodyear AS 2's ,feel almost the same but better in the wet although
Not sure about the new look profile / sidewall the AS 3 looks a lot
Chunkier than the older AS2 which looked like a low profile maybe that's
Why that have change it ?
Seen lots on the net about sidewalks splitting on the AS 2 but it's all about how
They feel & drive which is an improvement on the AS2 in the wet only
Time will tell on the wear side of things but great in the wet ðŸ‘
Initial review so can't comment on wear. 225.40 R18 on the front of my VRS.
Had Conti Sport Contact 3s, then the Goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric 2. The asymmetric 3 feels very similar to the 2, has no issues with grip in these colder temperatures, has a nice steering feel and is quiet. Will update the review once a few more miles on them.
