Skoda Octavia VRS Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Sava Intensa UHP 2 given 87% (225-40-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
"Made In Germany" These Sava Intensa UHP 2 are made in Germany previous versions were made in the Kranj factory in Slovenia. And Sava is a Slovenian brand. I find these tyres very quiet and suit my style of driving. Some might feel that the sidewalls are a little soft but unless you drive very agressivley this is no problem. I feel safe and secure on the road and confident in braking in both dry and wet conditions. Road noise is greatly reduced from previous factory fit Bridgestone tyres. Wear wise I don't cover the mileage i once did and tyres that last too long will result in tread blocks cracking. There may be better tyres out there but for me the Sava Intensa UHP 2 does the job I want them too, at a reasinable price.

In my opinion this tire is not good to spirited driving style.

Writing about the Continental Premium Contact 6 given 91% (225-40-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5300 spirited miles
Its not the comfiest of tires (noise). But of the other hand it works well, great stability in higher speeds and superb response from the wheels. Wet conditions performance is also solid. I can recommend this tire! Its either continental or Michelin.

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport given 86% (225-40-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
I was running michelin pilot supersports, (18s so couldn't get PS4S) but after the review of these vs the PS4S I thought I'd give them a go. I will compare direct to the michelin supersports. handling is just as good, dry grip is just as good, braking just as good,so no problems there , then we come to wet grip.... wow, MUCH better than the supersports. As far as I'm concerned there are no drawbacks to these tyres, excellent in every way. equally to the michelin, but better in the wet. Another good thing, much cheaper than the michelin supersports too!

Writing about the Kumho Ecsta PS91 given 45% (225-40-18-W)
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 average miles
Dry grip was good. In general the tyre was comfortable. Wet grip was scary a lot of aquaplaning when I went into any amount of water.

Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 miles
Bought a skoda vrs 230 in september that came with p zeros on which i found great in the dry but shocking in the wet so ordered some Avons zv7s on offer £67.00 per tyre ! Soooo glad i did it transformed my car no horrid wheelspin in wet and after 6000 miles can say the tyres fill you with confidence on wet or dry roads a superb all round tyre will be putting on again as i drive a lot in our ever increasing wet weather , well done Avon !

Writing about the Kumho Ecsta PS71 given 50% (225-40-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
Purchased these Kumho’s to try something different, I usual use Conti, Dunlop or Bridgestone.

I found them average in the dry but shocking in the wet. They did not like any patches of water and pulled the car into water spots but then in the dry they felt like any other tyre driving normal but did not take long to reach the limits when driving hard.

I will be going back to my normal choice next time.

Really good tyres, excellent dry and wet grip, good steering feel, and not too noisy.

Writing about the Sava Intensa UHP 2 given 90% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 2000 average miles
I would like to confirm the fact stated by another reviewer that my Sava Intensa UHP2 are marked "Made in Germany". So not all Sava tyres are made in the factory in Kranj, Slovenia. Some are indeed made in the GY factory in Germany. My previous set of Sava UHP's were made in Slovenia, but not this set of 2's. These are the quietest tyres I have driven on, they feel sure footed with just a small amount of flex in the sidewalls when cornering. I don't drive into corners like an F1 driver but prefer a more comfortable speed. The Sava's never feel they are going to let me down unlike previous Potenza's which suffered wheel hop in the wet from traffic lights.

Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
I have Skoda Octavia vRS 2019.
Before those tyres i had the original one ( Pirelli P zero).
Those tyres was so much better, the feedback is amazing and the grip is perfect !
But i have to say that after 3 track days and 10K kilometers the tyers are dead !

Not disappointed, I bought it checking your website. Tyres are really reliable with very good wet grip and low wear
