What owners say summarised from 306 reviews

Across 306 owner reviews averaging 78.9%, most drivers rate the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 for its standout grip: around half praise both wet and dry traction, often describing very high confidence and predictable handling. Comfort also lands well for many (around a third mention it positively), though opinions are more mixed on noise, steering feel and especially longevity. Tread life is the biggest point of disagreement (mentioned by 42% overall), with plenty reporting strong mileage while a similar number complain of faster wear; a smaller group also call out the sidewalls as too soft.

I have tried previous Continentals and Bridgestone's on my Mk7 GTI PP with DSG, to which the Pilot Sport 4's are better in every way. The wet and dry grip of this tyre is unmatched. It's very difficult to find a combination of both on most tyres. The wear is also very good, I have driven 4,000 miles and I have seen barely any wear. I would highly recommend this tyre if you are looking for dry grip, wet grip and comfort as road noise on the motorway is also very good..

Went from OEM spec Contis on my Merc C Class 2013 to 225 40 18 front and 255 35 18 rear PS4s. Non MO rated but way way better in every way. Comfort is superb but the main reason why these are awesome is traction. It is common in every rear drive car to get at least a small scrabble from the inside rear tyre when exiting a tight junction aggressively. With these there is no such action, the car simply accelerates cleanly and quickly with no dramas. Stopping distance is superb, ABS is simply not active with these tyres. I cannot think of a single better tyre I have ever run. Quite superb considering the price saving over MO rated but much less impressive other brands. For as long as these are available it would be ridiculous to look elsewhere for a car like this.

I have just taken Conti sport 6 off the car so going to compare Michelin PS4. The Michelin has a squarer shoulder which gives a more precise steering response than the Conti which more rounded, Dry grip are equal but wet grip goes to Michelin because of the pattern of the treads to disperse water quicker. The Conti does have a bigger rim protector than the Michelin I have noticed. Both tyres are both very comfortable to drive on and no real difference between them. I can only comment on wear on the Conti, they lasted 7500 miles and were taken off at 3mm. I know the Michelins have a higher tread wear rating so should out last the Contis. Both sets of tyres are very similar and nothing really to choose from except wear on the Contis. As its now autumn the Michelins are the better choice to go through into the winter before winter tyres go on. The Contis have been amazing through out the summer and would have them again but Michelin PS4 will do exactly the same and last longer. Michelin PS4 are really very good tyres.

Nothing has even come close to this tyre, the dry and wet grip are superb, as is the general comfort and both motorway and slower speeds, this coupled with the Quattro system on my car means I can have fun no matter what the weather, at £90 a tyre they aren't cheap but are by far the best in my opinion

Would recommend to everyone!

My last tyre before this was Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric2. I loved them but they didnt last as much as i expected.. This time i gave a try to the new Michelin PS4. These were the most expencive tyres atm. BUT! They made me very dissapointed. I can tell that the GoodYears were far better in every single way!! Mainly in grip! I drive aggressively and those tyres did the job without a mistake. I feel half as safe with these.. I cant even dare to push my car with the PS4 in the corners. The Economy was also better with the Goodyear with 0,2 L/km . Im really not someone from the GY. PR department, but i will never buy Michelin again. My next tyre will be Goodyear or Continental.

Merci Michelin!
