Owners generally rate the Michelin Primacy 5 highly (82% average), most often praising its notably comfortable, refined ride and strong wet-weather confidence. Around three quarters of reviewers mention noise, and while many find it very quiet, a sizeable minority report intrusive droning on certain road surfaces. Grip and efficiency are commonly highlighted as strengths (especially in the wet and for rolling resistance), but around one in five owners feel it sacrifices dry handling and steering precision compared with sportier alternatives.

Very comfortable, same comfort as my studless Nordic winter tires, and just as soft and squishy under dry handling sadly, other than that I recommend them, good fuel economy too
Coming from PremiumContact 7 on same car, it's a downgrade. I bought it mainly because it's a premium tire didn't think that difference in handling/grip will be that big compared to premium contact, same car, but when I start from red light I spin the wheels if I push too hard, even at 30km/h managed to spin the wheels, I never had this with continentals ( and it's a golf 2.0 tdi, not a sport car). Handling isn't as direct, continentals were more comfortable, can't say about road noise cause I always listen to something on radio. BUT biggest gripe I have with them is wear, I've done 10000km, and I'm already down to 5mm front, 6mm back... I have a feeling that I won't even reach 40k I did on continentals ( and they aren't champions when it comes to wear). All in all, disappointed, I got Michelin instead of continentals because they should last more, but instead, I feel like driving a mid range tire.
For my small car, these tyres give me really confident grip and let me know when they're gonna slip. Road noise has decreased a lot, and its extremely comfortable ride has elevated my small commuter hatchback into a genuinely enjoyable driving experience. Wet grip is also really, really good on these, cant fault the tyre in any area
These are not quite tyres! My winter tyres (Goodyear Ultragrip 3) are quieter than those, my previous summer tyres (Kleber Dynaxer HP4) are quieter than those. The only reason I choose to buy these Michelins, was because I was looking for quite tyre, but they are not, average at best, so I am very disappointed in them.
Month ago mounted on my Mazda cx-3 2.0 skyactive G. Very comfortable comparing with old toyo proxes R40. 0,5l/100km less fuel consumption in first 500km. Not noisy at all, safe and predictable while driving. Recomendation.
Drove these tyres on my first 50 miles journey and i can tell you for sure these are very silent tyres, maybe the most silwnt i drove. These tyres are designed for comfortable and silent driving on the highway. The response to wheel turning is slow and my civic X feels completely different compared to previous Pirelly powergy tyres i had. Those Powergy tyres offered a feeling of security at high speed due to better responsiveness to turning but were considerably louder. I am happy with with Michelin Primacy 5 anyway because now my car feels like a premium car due to silence and comfort they offer. Anyway i don't really need that much responsiveness because i mainly commute from point A to B which doesn't really demand a lot of high speed handling. For those who prioritise sharp response while handling these tyres might not be suitable . The sidewall is soft. Before deciding you should think if you really need sporty tyres. Once again - these tyres are the most silent i ever drove. Will come with additional impressions after driving more.
I’ve had primacy 4 on my Honda previous to the primacy 5. I can confirm these tyres are not as good as the other tyres as these have road noise.
I’ve had them on for about 400 klms and will be returning to the tyre shop to have them returned. Other than the tyre noise they are ok in other areas.
Hope this helps others looking for comparisons.
On my Lynk & Co 06, I replaced the Giti P10 tires on the front axle after nearly 30,000 kilometers due to deteriorating comfort and increased noise. I switched to the latest Michelin Primacy 5, hoping to maintain a comfortable driving experience. The Primacy 5 costs twice as much as the Giti P10. However, to my great disappointment, the Primacy 5 does not offer a better noise experience than the new Giti P10. Even worse, during the first 2,000 kilometers, the Primacy 5 always had vibrations that affected the steering wheel feel, which was bother me every day . After 2,000 kilometers, this issue lessened but did not disappear completely. The dry grip and cornering performance give me absolutely no confidence; this is a world of difference compared to the Giti P10. Moreover, the body roll has increased, significantly affecting my driving confidence. For this expensive price, it did not bring a better comfort or driving experience. I think this is a failed replacement experience. I am already looking for a more balanced tire, hoping to replace the Primacy 5 as soon as possible
