An excellent tyre. I always felt secure under all conditions. Lasted incredibly - 57000 km (the 2 rear ones could do probably 20000 km more, I changed them). I replaced with the same model in order to use the spare tyre. If I keep the same car, next ones will be surely Michelin (Primacy 3).
These big Michelins were superb on a large Peugeot 508SW estate car, with a very torquey turbo Diesel engine. They inspired confidence whether it was just me driving alone, or fully loaded with five on board and family stuff loaded in the back. There was plenty of grip for cornering, acceleration, and braking whether the road was dry, damp, or soaked with rain; they tracked straight and without vibration on the autostrada-motorway, and made it easy to guide this big car around sweeping bends on narrow country roads. I did not drive this rental car in snow or ice, but I would expect to change from the Primacy HP to winter tyres before the likelihood of such conditions, if I owned the car, because the tread pattern and rubber compound seem to be optimized for spring, summer and autumn. They are very quiet at all reasonable road speeds and on most surfaces; no squealing. The only time they lost traction was when turbo boost came online while heading uphill in first gear (the most difficult situation for front-wheel-drive), during which time they scrabbled for grip for a few seconds but continued to haul the heavy car uphill with a lot less drama than I have experienced with other, lesser tyres. Michelin Primacy HP may be expensive, but you should get as good as you pay for and be suitably encouraged to maintain correct pressures and rotation to maximize their life.

Excellent feel & smoothness at almost every situation dry or wet.
It is, probably, the best tyre I had in years.
Tomorrow I'll fit the newer Primacy line model the Primacy 3.
I hope it's on par if not better than it's predecessor.
Never really liked Michelin, but that tyre was a mind changer.

I'm very happy with the way my Michelins have held up..have had my Honda euro for 4 years (new) done 66.000 klms and replacing my first lot of Michelins now...booked in for my 4 new Michelins next week...wouldn't buy anything else..yes they are costly but I'm happy with the way they form. :)
Fitted as new on my Focus 2011 Titanium, 18000 miles done and still in excellent condition, would I buy again, Yep ! Good enough for Ford, good enough for me.
Have tried many other makes over the years, I've found the Michelins to always be good in the wt, good in the dry, stable, relatively quiet and good wearing. I've got a Vectra Sri with the big V6 diesel up front and have got over 24k miles from the fronts (without driving like my dad!!!), they are now just about on the limit markers and are now being replaced with the same - though the Primacy HP's in 215/50r17 size are very very (almost impossible) to find. I will always fit Michelins to my cars, yes they are pricey but you get what you pay for in this world.

By far the best tyres i've ever owned on a car. Longevity (28k miles on front), qiuet, smooth, great grip in the dry and for the first time ever never caught out in the wet.
Negatives - well, i guess you get what you pay for as there expensive.
Swapped out for a pair of Nexen N Blue eco's so we'll see if the michelins really are twice as good.

Excellent all round tyres fitted as original on Insignia Diesel. Great Mileage = 22 K miles.Very good grip even when worn on wet greasy roads.
Recently bought a new Citroen C5 with 4 of these puppies fitted from new. Got a shock when I realised that the tyres that come with the car are 245/45/18 - which are a bigass tyre indeed. Anyway, the secret with Michelin tyres is not to overinflate them stick to around 35psi, not 40 pounds as recommended by a lot of tyre dealers. If you overinflate, the noise and wet weather performance goes down the drain. Michelin are a low pressure type tyre - the days of pumping them up like heck are over. I intend to replace these primacys with the same type - except in that size I'm looking at $550.00 Australian dollers per tyre - OUCH!
I have just got rid of 4 of these on my car and I an glad. These were the noisiest tyres I have ever had and made driving my subaru forester unpleasant. On anything but the smoothest surface they produced a horrible roar. I replaced them before they were worn out with Avom ZV5 and the car is a pleasure to drive again, I also get 4MPG extra and a lovely smooth ride. I would never recommend michelin tyres.
These were original factory fit, bought a replacement pair but they have worn completely after only 10000 miles of general driving. Good grip in dry and rain, and reasonable in winter too. Very disappointed with wear so would not buy again.
Excellent tire both in dry and wet. Very good grip and excellent at the limit. Very good braking and average noise. Extremely good wear (after 48K klm). A top all rounder. Very expensive at 225/50/17 (around 200 euros per piece). My next tire will be the Fulda Sportcontrol (at 165 euros/tyre in Greece)
