Point S EU label data

17 of the 27 tyres on record carry EU label data. These are the range's label headliners, using each tyre's best available size figures.

A Best wet grip

3 tyres reach EU wet grip class A. The highest scoring:

B Lowest rolling resistance

The most fuel efficient choice: 3 tyres reach rolling resistance class B. The highest scoring:

70dB Quietest tyres

The quietest tyres in the range are labelled from 70 dB external noise:

Label values come from the EU EPREL database and vary by size - the figures here are each tyre's best declared size. Wet grip and rolling resistance run from class A (best) to E; noise is the measured drive-by figure. A good label is a floor, not a verdict: the tests and rankings above tell you far more.

New Point S tyres

The newest arrival in the range is the Point S Summer 2 Van. 4 tyres have joined in the last two years:

Point S Summer 2 Van Summer 2026 not yet scored
Point S Summer 2 Summer 2026 not yet scored
Point S 4 Seasons 3 All Season 2026 not yet scored
Point S 4 Seasons Van+ All Season 2025 not yet scored

New tyres take time to earn a TR Score - tests have to be run and owner reviews have to arrive. A missing score is a data gap, not a verdict.

I put these tyres on my wifes Urban Cruiser for the second time now. They wear really well and they are really good value for money.

Mercedes c class amg 4matic. Got 2 of these fitted on the front just to get me through MOT about 1yr ago. Not done much miles but looks like they have worn down a bit already. Terrible in the wet for sliding I actually thought I had a problem with the car its that bad. Would never buy these again!

Absolute trash, wouldn't tie a boat up against them, even Nankang tyres are better. Very low traction in the dry, strangely marginally better in the wet, and they are noisy, making a whining noise on my car that made me think a wheel bearing was on its way out. Bought a temporary/cheap set of the same wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Nero, with 5mm tread. Put them on, 100 times better.....still not up to Michelin PS4/5 grip levels and handling....they might cost the earth but they're worth it. Continentals might be another option....
Off to the tyre shop for some very expensive Michelin's possibly??

Absolutely shocking tyre. Fitted two on the rear of my car, and they have left the ride feeling extremely unstable and I find myself continually making 'steering corrections' to compensate. Such poor quality and they were by no means the cheapest tyre. Had enough now after 4 weeks - need replaced.

Point S Summerstar 2 215-65-16- Volkswagen Multivan T6 13,000 miles April 2, 2024
I have had 3 tyre blow outs in the past 3 months, all of them have been Summer Star Tyres. This most recent one was yesterday on the above mentioned tyre. I had no complaints about these tyres up until their sudden and catastrophic failure.
The first two that blow out were on my trailer. They failed within a few hundred km's of each other. Both were shredded so it was impossible to determine the cause of the failures. The one yesterday has a gash across the tread face.
I cannot know for sure if the cause of the failures are related, but I start getting paranoid when 3 of the same brand tyres fail in such close succession.
The tyres on the trailer were relatively new with very good tread. They were not over inflated and were not carrying anywhere close to their load capacity.
The tyre on the Kombi was more worn, but not down to the wear warning indicators. They were inflated to the VW specification and the vehicle was empty.

Loud Loud Loud. 245/45-18 on the front of a Vx Insignia. For get it, these are the worst thing to ever happen to me. Long drives on the Motorways/Autobahns leaves you feel tense and deffended. They work if:- you have a tight budget and need to pass an MOT and this is the only thing your local garage has in stock. I will not buy again nor can I recommend.
