For the 2020 Auto Express all season tyre test, Auto Express tested six 225/45 R17 all season tyres using a VW Golf.

Unfortunately due to travel restrictions Auto Express couldn't complete the dry handling test, however the rest of the test is as thorough as usual, covering dry, wet and snow braking, wet circle and wet handling, and snow traction and snow handling.

As usual we'll keep our coverage to a minimum, instead encouraging you to head over to the Auto Express website to check out the full test, also be sure to check out the Tyre Reviews All Season Tyre Test, which covers these tyres and more, and a reference summer and winter tyre in the same size.
