It has multiple test wins and frequent podiums (e.g., 1st in 2020 Auto Express and ADAC SUV, 1st in 2018 AMS/Auto Express, 3rd in numerous AutoBild/Sport Auto/SUV tests), supported by class-leading aquaplaning and strong snow handling/braking results. Its efficiency is a hallmark, often best-in-class for rolling resistance.

Key weaknesses are dry braking and value: it frequently posts longer dry stops versus rivals and carries a higher purchase price, which has dragged overall rankings in value-weighted tests. The Continental AllSeasonContact might be one of the oldest all season tyres in the group now, but it's still performing well with a solid balanced result in all categories. Consistency is important in an all season tyre, and while the Continental didn't win any test, it didn't do badly in any test either, with a solid string of 4th and 5th places putting it in fourth place overall in the balanced score weighting, and fifth in the mild climate. Recommended.

The AllSeasonContact has no real drawbacks, but isn't as strong as the CrossClimate in the dry or the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 in the wet. As an all season tyre, the AllSeasonContact seems to sit between the Michelin and Goodyear with regards to the dry/wet/snow blend of performance.
