Not easy choosing an all season road orientated tyre in standard size for a Defender, certainly not for less than 100ukp a shot (i got £92 fitted and balanced) but glad I discovered these by accident while over in the States. They are actually all season and would have the 3 peaks too BUT Continental didn’t want the competition in Europe from one of their own brands. In the US they are marketed as all-season. Running through this winter in France they have been great on everything. Ice, rain and snow. Much improved over the BFG A/T I was running. Braking distance feels halfed, as does noise. Very grippy when you need it and quiet and comfortable on long motorway runs. I’d say out of all the tyres (most you can think of) I’ve run on a Defender over the years, these are comfortably the best for the road. Better than the Michelin and Continetal that LR fitted from factory. The trade-off is of course off-road performance. They are fine on gravel and sand. Fine too, in fact good, on wet grass BUT not up to much after that. Overall definately recommended tyre for road use bias Defender.
