The Nexen N Fera Sport SUV is a mid-range summer SUV tyre with test support for braking and aquaplaning resistance. Steering response, balance and rolling resistance are less convincing, and its stronger wet-handling result was not repeated consistently.
The Nexen N Fera Sport SUV has a three-test record that favours braking and aquaplaning over steering feel. It was second of eight for wet braking in Teknikens Varld 2025, just 0.4% longer than best, and third of twelve for dry braking in Auto Bild Allrad 2023. It also led straight and curved aquaplaning in the 2022 SUV comparison, although both placings fell to seventh in 2023 before renewed tester praise in 2025. The results come from independent tests rather than owner experience.
Delayed or spongy steering response recurs in the verdicts, with understeer in 2023 and diminished stability in 2025. Wet handling was unusually more favourable in 2022 than in the later comparisons, so its braking ability does not establish equally strong cornering confidence. Rolling resistance was near the back in both Auto Bild tests. Earlier low-price praise also changed unusually in 2025, when the testers described pricing alongside premium rivals. Different sizes and fields limit direct comparison, leaving stopping performance better supported than sharp responses or efficiency.

2025 Teknikens Varld Summer Tyre Test P5 of 8
The Nexen N'Fera Sport SUV SU2S represented something of an eye-opener for the test team, showing significant improvement over previous Nexen products while landing in a tie for fifth place. The Korean manufacturer has clearly addressed many prior criticisms, delivering impressive objective performance in braking and hydroplaning resistance. However, the tyre still lagged behind the leaders in subjective handling characteristics, with testers noting a spongy feel with poor response and diminished stability that made the vehicle feel disconnected from the road. Interestingly, the historically budget-oriented brand has now priced itself alongside premium competitors, reflecting the costs of their performance improvements but losing their previous price advantage.
