Drove them one winter on really heavy snow in the moutains no problem at all the snow grip was really impresive even against some premium tires. I had no problems never got stuck even when i was trying to get stuck i saw many people with premium tires and same awd having trouble but not with this ones. The only problem is Wear I think if ur winter is mild and temp are high the tires will melt away. About to mount them for this winter to see did they change after 1 year.
These are the noisiest, harshest tyres I have ever driven on. I know the stupid 255/35 R21 tyre size on the Tiguan R is a large part of the problem but the constant whining of these tyres on Australian roads is infuriating. Definitely will not buy them again.
Very good overall. Very good in the dry, cold or hot (-15 to +40). Great on snow. Wet performance is mediocre at best. Aquaplaning good, but after a decent amount of wear wet braking and handling seem to have taken a big hit. For emergency braking or collision avoidance on wet are to be done with a lot of care, i have noticed a lot of tire movement when entering an intersection at higher than normal speed when asphalt was wet. On the previous summer tires (even though old) I could not see the same pattern. I would still recommend them with the exception that on wet roads extra attention is needed (more than with a regular summer/winter tyre).
Had these for a few miles now and driven in all conditions, wet/dry/snow and been fairly impressed with how they’ve performed. Michelins they ain’t, but at half the price they’ve performed way better than expected. I rated them slightly average in snow, but my car has 255 width tyres so nothing would work very well in snow bar a full winter. Wet grip is decent and predictable although not as good as a premium tyre. They are a bit noisier than a premium tyre but not to a level that would put me off. Wear has been surprisingly good and they have worn evenly, still having 5mm after nearly 16k miles. As a budget/mid range option, I’d happily recommend these, and will buy again in the future
This is my first time using this brand. I have previously experienced Continental, Dunlop, Bridgestone, Lassa, Good-Year, BF Goodrich, Falken, and Riken tires. I chose the Nexen N Fera Sport SUV model especially because I heard it was produced for SUV models. Since my car is a VW Tiguan Sport Style, I naturally had high expectations from the tires in terms of weight and agility. During my first use, the tires' quietness, their ability to lighten the vehicle, their supportive agility, and their quick acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h without spinning when there was a need for sudden take-off gave me confidence. I also experienced it at high speeds, and I can say that the noise level inside is quite low. I can express that I find it similar to the Continental and Dunlop models I used before. I'm still at the beginning of my journey, and my feelings of satisfaction are clearly at the forefront. I recommend it.
I usually drove the car with these tyres in snow, the snow performance was excellent. The tires were quiet, very comfortable nad low rolling resistance every time. I highly recommend LM005 for your car in the winter conditions.
63500 kilometres, and just creeping to the legal limit. On a Tiguan Allspace 132TSI in Victoria Australia. So happy I’m replacing like for like. Chris
Cant expect miles of wear when I drive a SUV tyre in track/racing conditions, if you like high performance cornering, beware of sidewall and outer edge wear, other than that its been a great tyre and i would consider buying again for the price. Has had a rough life in both rain, dry and even ice, and plenty of wheelspins, powerslides, and understeer hopping but it cant be everything all at once. Highly reccomend for people who want a good performing tyre.
Everything was perfect except a little wear. Handling, comfort, brake distance and grip was excellent. After 60.000 km and 5 years, no grip any more. I think this is a acceptable time for wear.
