Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 60% while driving a Ford Fiesta Zetec S (205/40 R17) on a combination of roads for 35,000 spirited miles
Car: 2014 Ford Fiesta Red 140HP
Tire life: 4 years (40k km)
Excellent snow and ice grip, acceptable dry weather grip, progressive handling only in the dry. Terrible sudden underwater and oversteer in the wet.

(255/35 R18) on for 0 miles
Had these tires couple times on two different cars. Yes these are pretty cheap tires, but they have a lot of tire runout from factory. Which means no matter how straight or balanced your wheels are, you're gonna feel vibration from them.

Given 56% while driving a BMW 335i (225/35 R19 W) on mostly motorways for 1,000 spirited miles
Bought these tyres for the winter, a bit of a panic buy, but needed tyres for the winter. I have found them quite average in the wet cold conditions, you could even say the good summer tyres are better in these conditions. Comfort is reasonable so is road noise. I would advise not push in the car on these tyres as the car feels very nervous and not confidence inspiring. Can't give a review on wear rate yet as I have only done 1000 miles on them. I will not be buying again unfortunately.
