itted 4 to a 3 series BMW , 2006, drive a mixture of cross country in rural Ireland and city driving.
Fantastic in the wet and rain soaked motorway.
limited snow driving this winter, only 1 day, but i drove as normal almost.
lots of ice last winter and the car gripped as best as it could in the bends on ice, and i never lost control .
Bearing in mind RWD and ice are not a good combination.
Excellent in muck and grassy verges, and overall, very impressed.
Have covered over 30k Km and still look like new.

Bought two tyres for the front after my Continental premium contact 2 tyres needed replacing!
The Michelin crossclimates are the best tyres I have driven in. Way better than the Continentals, better grip, good Road holding and very quiet! Haven't driven in the wet yet but I'm certain they will excel there as well.

Driven 30,000 miles on new set - 6mm tread on rear and tad over 4mm on front - Astra 1.7cdti. Reason for score of 8 on grip, road feedback and handling is I've never really pushed them cornering etc. However, i feel more confident using these, the wear is just as good as Michelin Energy I've had before. I live in East Anglia, so not lots of hills, bad roads, mainly flat. which must help on wear. For the price they are good value, will continue to buy.

changing from Michelin pilot sports to these, I didn't expect much difference - but there was. It's almost like these tires were made especially for my car! sure footed, quiet and very long lasting too - the pilot sports were changed twice on the front of what is well known to be a heavy car in 20,000 miles whilst the front tires have done a shade under 16,000 miles and still have life in them yet. I will definitely be putting another set of these onto my car when the time comes.
for larger cars, these are a must - buy with confidence!
These have been Excellent on cold wet early mornings on Country roads and Dual carriageways, quiet running with minimal wheel spin on quick acceleration from slimy country junctions, Braking is very good on wet and dry roads. will buy again.
Perfect, Nothing better, Outstanding. I work in remote areas and normally have always had a 4x4 jeep or car. I have had two of these on the front of a Volvo V50 and they amazingly good. So much so they have been replaced with the exact same again after trying Sunny 3830 Snowmaster which are horrific.
bought in spring 2015 and still working very well after more than 60.000 km. what is really outstanding is the wear resistance. to be sure I asked a specialist if they are still good and I had a confirmation from this tyres seller. I think I'll change them in spring 2017, after 70000 km. I tried them in all conditions and I confirm the great behavior in dey and wed. Good on Snow also, but I did not test them in intense snow or Ice. Performance have decreased today but still acceptable. I think they are perfect for the region where I live, north east of Italy, where it's quite cold in winter but the snow is occasional in planes, but mountains are near!
I'm still using CrossClimate tyres and it's been almost 10.000km so far. They're great tyres in every condition especially if you're living in a city that doesn't get too much snow in winter. I'm living in Istanbul Turkey and although this winter is quite strong than previous years, (we had nearly 50cm snow for a week and temperature is generally below 4 celcius.) Michelin tyres are doing still doing good job. I definitely recommed it. My previous tyres were Michelin Energy Saver+ and I can say that CrossClimate is way better than EnergySaver.
Update on a previous review. Well a year on these have been great. Got to try them out in the snow and ice in my rear wheel drive BMW and they were brilliant. No drama, total confidence and felt really safe on the road. Some front wheel drive cars were struggling on some hills and I just drove past them, no drama. You can provoke some spin but that was for fun! Drive as you should in these conditions and you will get through most things.
Bought them after reading all these fine and convincing reviews for the occasional and rare meet with snowy roads. Well, in snow total failure, even cars with summer tires where able to move much better than me. I was left spinning my wheels hopelessly while other cars with summer tires had no problem passing me. I have them for a year and a half, with 17.000 km driven. Not satisfied at all with snow handling (about 5-7 cm of snow) and rather displeased with overall handling and value for money. Will not buy ever again and I won't recommend them to anyone.
I had been quite disappointed with the stodgy handling and poor motorway tracking of my new (2016) BMW 518d Touring. The Beemer was tiring to drive long distances due to constantly having to concentrate on keeping the car in a straight line at high speed. It seemed the car was very sensitive to crosswinds, lorry bow waves and road imperfections. I was very disappojnted as I expected this car to be relaxed and comfortable over long distances. The BMW was fitted at the factory with Michelin Primacy 3's. My last new car in 2014 was a Ford S Max, and that came with Primacy 3's as well. I couldn't wait to get them off.
I had the the BMW four wheel laser tracked, but nothing was amiss. Normally I buy a second set of wheels for winter tyres, but this time after having read the rave reviews, I decided to take off the Primacy's and fit Michelin Cross Climate tyres.
On my first drive, the BMW felt instantly better. More agile, crisper turn in and improved ride comfort, as well as being quieter than the Primacy's, which had only been on the car for 7000 miles and still looked like new.
The Cross Climates inspire great confidence in very poor weather conditions. I have encountered really foul weather and these Cross Climates have coped brilliantly. Compared to the Primacy 3's which I found prone to aquaplaning, the Cross Climates with their deep and aggressive tread pattern, cut through and disperse road surface water even when it is running across the road like a stream. Because the car handles so much better, I have been able to make better progress on cross country routes, in particular when the weather is bad.
On the motorways the car now drives like a train. Road noise is very suppressed. As yet I have not had any snow to cope with, but I will have a much better chance of getting home with Cross Climate tyres fitted, than if I had of left the Primacy's on. Being rear wheel drive, I am sure the BMW would have been a nightmare without a winter type tyre in snow and ice. So I will report again when I do encounter any of the white stuff.
In conclusion I recommend these tyres as they are not just a jack of all trades with compromises in the summer on dry braking or in the snow, but now rate significantly better than some summer and winter tyres in comparative reviews. Buy with confidence.
