Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 Owner Reviews
Review this tyreWhat owners say summarised from 256 reviews
Across driver feedback, the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 (PS3) is widely seen as a strong ultra-high-performance all-rounder with standout wet grip, confident braking, and very good hydroplaning resistance, often making cars feel more stable and secure. Dry grip and handling are generally praised too, with many noting a comfortable, relatively quiet ride for the category. The most consistent downside is rapid treadwear for the price-especially on powerful or hard-driven FWD/AWD cars-along with frequent comments about soft sidewalls that can make steering feel a bit numb or delayed at the limit.

I drive mostly motorway journeys both here and on the continent easily with a view to my fuel consumption.
As the tyres have worn, the road noise has increased, but the grip seems to have stayed.
I've now done 14k with these tyres and the fronts need changing again, the rears don't seem to have worn very much at all.
I won't be replacing with PS3s but looking for something that wears better.

However, what surprises me is the performance on wet. It really grips even with moderate rain and it clears water on the road really well. I feel less water resistance while plowing through water puddles compared to other tyres.
The tyre sidewalls are really solid, hence the higher road feedback. For a person who does not like tyre-roll during cornering, this is THE tyre.
The road noise would definitely be louder than comfort tyres. I would rate it as moderate and is something expected from a sports tyre.
In summary, the tyre grips well in dry/wet but is not sticky like soft compound tyres.
