Best Tyres for the Dodge Caravan

These tires are on my 2017 Dodge Grand Carivan. The tires spin and slide on wet pavement. I drive like a cautious old man so that's saying something .
These tires came on the van from the used car lot at the dealership .
Cheap. Cheap cheap. I am glad I have a set of Michelin snows . I will be buying Michelin summer tires when the time comes.

I'm posting this in response to information requested, because there are not yet any reviews of Avon TurboSteel tyres. I would advise against buying them because I had one that failed internally, resulting in a tyre the shape of a rugby ball! I noticed this after hooking up the trailer on which the TurboSteel tyres were installed: upon driving away the trailer started lurching around behind the car. Fortunately I noticed the strange movement and was able to stop safely to put on the spare wheel. The bad tyre still held the correct air pressure and had almost no tread wear (as would be expected of a tyre on a trailer with no drive, only moderate cornering and slight braking forces). Up until that point those tyres had rolled along smoothly and quietly, with no sliding on wet or dry roads. I cannot comment on how they would feel on a car, but after that premature disintegration despite careful driving and regular inspection (they were less than 5 years old), I always shop for tyre brands other than Avon.

I bought these tires for my MIL's 2005 Grand Caravan. She was on a budget and simply needed a better set. I'll admit, for the first 2k miles or so these things HOWLED. They were the loudest, worst tires I'd ever driven on. When she passed away, we got the van. Surprisingly the tires had quieted down...a LOT. Now that we've put 10k miles on them, they're no better or no worse than an average set of much more expensive wheels. I drove 3k miles on them within a week through rain, snow, ice and "hot" weather down south. They actually rode very well, handled fine and I had no issues whatsoever. As far as wear, I just went out and measured. The fronts are at 7/32nd's the rear 8. Pretty even across the tread as well.

So...for a "cheap" tire they're not bad. The caveat is that they WILL be noisy until they "wear" in which will take a couple thousand miles. After that...no problems, I'd buy them again if under the same budget constraints.

Second year with those m900 ice (no studs on), I had yokohama IG52 before and I can't realy tell there's a difference. The only difference is more money in my pocket.
