Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 54% while driving a Mercedes Benz Mercedes (235/50 R18) on mostly motorways for 15 spirited miles
Mercedes-Benz GLA 1.6 150 HP. It was ok at the first 10,000km, but found to lose traction and slipped upon starting rolling from still on slightly wet normal road surface. Unexpected.

Given 89% while driving a Nissan tida (185/65 R15 R) on mostly town for 72,000 spirited miles
Used import Nissan Tiida. It has 72000 kms on clock. I think they are original. Have done 8500 since purchase. High wear twisty hill road daily travel. Impressed by comfort and noise level. Would like to buy same again if possible.

Given 90% while driving a Honda City (185/70 R14) on mostly town for 60,000 miles
I was convinced by the shopkeeper to try Bridgestone Nextry, I half heartedly went for Bridgestone as I was trying for Yokohama as ny new tyres but believe you me Nextry never disappointed me. It was such a soft and comfortable tyre that no comparison to it. You can press it with one finger and this softness gives you ultimate grip.
Excellent tyres.

Given 92% while driving a Subaru Legacy B4 RSK Twin Turbo (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Honestly a pretty decent tire, I somehow ended up winter driving with these tires and they held up better than all season tires. I was pretty amazed. My car is AWD so it I didn't get to test its limits on dry pavement, but as far as stopping and tread wear goes this tire is high quality.
