Bridgestone Turanza ER300 Owner Reviews

Review this tyre

What owners say summarised from 157 reviews

Owners most consistently praise the Bridgestone Turanza ER300 for dry grip, while wet grip receives more praise than criticism but is less convincing. Longer-term accounts often describe good tread life, although wear varies substantially and around one in five reviews criticise it. Road noise is the clearest recurring complaint, raised in roughly one in four reviews, despite quieter experiences from others. Comfort is evenly divided between praise and criticism. A minority of longer-term accounts describe declining wet grip, but repeat reviews do not establish a consistent ageing pattern.

Sporty and very grippy but uncomfortably hard/very harsh on rough & bumpy roads but otherwise smooth. (Honda Civic 1.8 with 16" alloy wheels)

38,700 miles on the front and the rears are still ok (40K+?) - quite reasonable by British standards (BUT to put it in context, I bought Yokohama tyres for a Honda Accord in the USA that were guaranteed for 70K+ miles and which still looked like new after 50K - they were great in every way: quiet, sticky, good in dry, wet & snow, smooth - and cheap).

I drive around 35,000 miles per annum so insist on decent tyres; this is mainly motorway and dual carriageway driving. The old ER30 tyres were on my Vectra when I bought it and have progressed onto the ER300s. Very good tyres, cannot fault them. I find them quiet and I feel secure on the road. I am getting around 45,000 miles out of a set which isn't bad. It is usually only me in the car but I am often times carrying a lot of stuff. When I swap back from my winter tyres (Pirelli Sottozeros) I put fronts to back and get more miles out of them.

Fine in wet and dry condtions and understandably not very good in very cold conditions.

I'm a driver for a living so covering 60000 miles a year, hopefully my reviews will help you guys in the future. I have used 4 sets of fronts tyres over the last year so my experiences are fresh. My type choices are based on finding a type that has a good life expectancy, good wet weather handling and hopefully a quiet design.

I bought these tyres based on professional reviews, and the excellent price offer by my local tyre centre. They perform well in all weather conditions, absolutely no problems in the wet, fine in the dry. These tyres are quiet and my car seemed a bit better on fuel, so I'm thinking the rolling resistance is fairly good.

The only negative I can say about the tyres is the life expectancy didn't meet my expectations.

All in all a good all round tyre which I could confidently recommend.

So far so good.

Replaced the P6000's on the rear and have found the car to be quiet, grippy and the rear end much more sure footed.

I drive a mix of country B roads and single lane A roads with odd motorway journey.
Fitted in Jan where it's been wet and cold.
I drive quite hard and have not lost the rear and scared my passengers on the bends but I don't break speed limits-just don't slow down for a bend! I find other cars tailgating me can't keep up on the bendy roads, just the straights as they speed on budget tyres. So it gives you an idea that these tyres are pretty good.

I drive sensibly in the wet and these have been pretty good too.

I drive 105 miles a day and needed a good grippy tyre that was also good in the wet for hard driving that didn't wear out after 10k miles or break the bank.

I'm not sure I would use these on the front as I prefer Grippy directional tyres, but if these last up to 20k then it could be an option on a front wheel drive.

Some say go to the Potenza-yes its grippy but soft and wear -unless you are well off-then again you wouldn't be reading reviews and just buy the best tyre out there.

Good tyres when brand new though went off quite quickly and will need replacing with well under 20k miles covered. I keep an eye on the pressures and don't drive hard, though it is a Mondeo TDCi (heavy, torquey engine) so this may have contributed to the wear. Disappointing, I expected better mileage from a premium brand.

Great, absolutely great feedback, easiness and performance. They are "easy" in terms of effortless exact handling and road feel so they deliver easy feel of sporty way of driving. Dry tarmac - superb, wet - mere very good

Hard to compare against any other makes as this is all i've used on the car, but they seem fine to me, this site does need another review category for "ice and snow" which is probably the only conditions where they don't grip very well, they are summer tyres though.
