Best Tyres for the Ford Mondeo

I´ve bought them for my oldest car Feb 2023 and they provide surprisingly good job. They were a bit more noisy first 3. to 4.000 km, but afterwords the edges of each block got a bit rounded, so they let the "brumm" noise behind them and up to these days are not noisy any more.
Perfect fuel efficiency for winter tyre - they are not far away from summer Michelins Primacy 5 bought 2025, might be the same!
They provide really strong grip up the hill in deep snow (yes, havier V6 auto in front), perfect stopping distance and direcrtional stability on snow and ice, perfect straight track on highways in 2-inch snow at 120km/h! unbelievable!
Also straight track on dry highway is without any complaint and wet grip incl. stopping distance are really sufficient enough - they perfectly fit Mondeo 2.5V6 5Auto Turnier. Side force transfer on a road is a better average.
What is for me very important (using SAVA winter tyres from 1993) - SAVA never generated vibrations to me, never! No radial force pumping.
This shows quality, not the first place in tests ;-)

Compared to other tires I have ever used: These are absolute carbage. No wet grip at all. Useless tires.

I really impressed by the overall performace of the tyres by the low price.

Riken Snowtime B2 – OK performance, severe safety issue with age
Average performance and quite noisy, but acceptable for basic driving. As reported by others, tread wear was minimal. The tires were used under normal driving conditions with correct inflation pressure maintained at all times.
However, after 6 years, safety became a major issue: the tread on one tire cracked severely, exposing the internal steel belts, while another tire showed tread separation along the edge.
Decent tread life, but dangerous structural degradation over time. Replace them early regardless of remaining tread.

Tyre wear seems rather high compared to crossclimates ( original version) roughly 20% better wear from the Michelins. Road noise also rather greater than Michelin.

Not a bad tyre but not as comfortable or confidence inspiring as the Michelin were ( can't speak for cc2 or cc3)

Noisy. Bad feelings. These tires have poor aquaplaning resistance and their geometry is compromised.

UPDATE: 4-Year / 8,000 miles Follow-Up
​I am currently running my final pair of Dunlop Sport BluResponse tyres on the rear axle, but I will be replacing them permanently before next season due to ongoing rubber degradation. While dry and wet grip remained acceptable over time, the severe tread block cracking developed far too early despite low mileage and optimal indoor winter storage. The compound simply hasn't held up chemically, proving that this model lacks the long-term durability needed for low-mileage drivers. I cannot recommend these tyres and will be switching to a different premium brand for my next set.
