Owners rate the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 highly overall (83% average), with the vast majority praising its strong grip in both dry and wet conditions and a confident, sporty feel. Comfort also comes through as a real strength for a UHP tyre, and many report crisp steering and stable handling. The main reservations are more mixed: around two in five owners mention tread life and road noise, with experiences varying from excellent longevity and refinement to faster wear and a noisier ride, while a smaller group note reduced cold-weather grip.

Running these on an Audi S5 Quattro changing from Continental 5P’s. All round good performance wet, dry and even in the lower winter temps for a 20 inch summer tyre, but unfortunately they are unbelievably noisy on some road surfaces.
The continentals wore much quicker in comparison, but a much much quieter tyre ! For my mixed motorway/town driving the Goodyear’s can quickly become quite cumbersome, and whilst I enjoy the performance I’m looking forward to ditching these already.
Although just fitted and only tested in rain these tyres have transformed the feel of my ST224, previously I had Pilot Sport4's all round but from around half worn they just didn't grip so well in wet. From the off the GY tyres bite into the wet tarmac and have given me more confidence in the cars handling, was well worth ditching the Michellins.
Check out how the BEST all seasons tyres perform against premium summer and winter tyres!
Usually always use ps4 on this car but they didn't have them in stock and the car came with the f1 3 which I could not fault.
I cannot fault these tyres at all I replace the steering arms at the same time aswell as tracking done and even 6 months later I'm still impressed so much I have started using these tyres on all my cars I would go as far as saying they as good as pilot sports and I'm sure if its cause the are just released but they are cheap £120 cheaper for 4 that mps it's a no brainer...
Only a fool would buy anything else bar pilot sports, I have done 4k of abusive miles and they still look new....

Got them on my stage 1 mk7 golf GTI all corners. Not as good as mpss in the dry but still very good. A lot better in the wet than the mpss. Would take these over the mpps for UK roads. Also cost £350 for all 4 tyres fitted at Kwik Fit.
I've used the tyres for road use and one very wet track day. Dry handling is excellent on the road, although I never push super hard. Wet handling is excellent both on road and track. When my regular track day car was down for maintenance, I used the Swift on a very wet Oulton Park. The Goodyear's were superb and made up somewhat for the lack of power. Cost was cheap for premium tyres and the only downside is that I suspect higher rolling resistance than the previous Conti's.
These tyres just keep going and going. I have done 2
45 000km on them and still have 4mm left all round. They are now 5 years old and starting to chip. But still grip is insane, both dry and wet. Really really good wet tyre.
Noise levels are low as well.
Their rim protector is also a nice feature. Never had any issues with these tyres. I'm moving on to Continental maxcontact MC6 which have high expectations so I'll review those Soon.
Great tyre!, fantastic grip in dry and wet condition.
I needed a tire that offered me total road safety and these Eagle F1 asymmetric 5 have surprised me very pleasantly.
I used to ride a Conti SportContact but they provided me with a regular grip, constantly skipped the ESP and they also worn out very irregularly (always with adequate pressures). With these new tires I have forced the exit and the curve tracing even in the wet and I still have not got the ESP light on.
Comfort noise is also lower than the Continental.
Had worn out efficient grip performance set on front from previous owner, after rotating the front asym3's to the rear after a while I really thought the car needed suspension work due to body roll and understeer but after fitting these Asym 5's I can see it was all the tyres! Understeer is gone and has made such a different to body roll, sidewall seems much firmer. Only driven in the wet but seems to feel like it only struggles to grip in hard accel in 1st gear on wet roads which is understandable for a hot hatch with an open diff so very good. I was tempted by the new super sports but glad I went with these, cheaper, feel fantastic in the wet, will undoubtedly last longer and I'm sure I won't notice the difference for 99% of the time.
Previously used Asymmetric 3's which were very good and I were really happy with those. Opted for newer version as newer usually is better.
Grip in dry and wet has been excellent, including handling, taking faster curves or braking. Have not noticed any downsides from road feedback either (have not taken these tyres to the track either). Wear appears to be very good as well.
Comfort on the other hand is really bad due to the noise it is generating, never seen or hear any tyre that is even remotely close to this noise level, not even winter tyres (e.g. goodyear Ultra Grip Performance G1 XL). Did the wheel alignment when tyres were changed, not sure what is causing such noise levels.
It is a sensational tire... Excellent performance in both dry and wet... In curve the vehicle goes on rails, it is noted that they have improved the flank with respect to the previous Asymmetric 2 and 3... They have a more energetic braking... Previously I was riding a PZero and with these new GY I noticed a lot of improvement in terms of rolling noise.
