The SPORTEC™ 01 is Metzeler's new versatile supersport tyre, built for riders who want strong performance in both dry and wet conditions on the road. A redesigned tread pattern inspired by the Greek letter π promotes quick warm-up, effective water evacuation and consistent grip as lean angle builds. A high-silica bi-compound layout balances a stable centre for braking and mileage with more hysteretic shoulders for cornering grip, while the patented DYNATREAD™ adaptive tread closes its grooves under load to maximise the contact patch when it matters most.
