Fitment comes from each tyre's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

Kumho WinterCraft WP52+ 215-55-18 Chery Tiggo 7 24,855 miles October 21, 2026

I bought these after looking at the tests. They offer performance close to premium tires while being very affordable. That's actually the reason I chose this tire. If you don't have extreme winter conditions where you are, you can go for this tire. If the winter conditions are bad, Barum might be a good alternative since it's still reasonably priced.

These came factory on my Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV SUV. Lack of traction during acceleration is an issue, not a great feeling of confidence in the wet. These have worn fast. I will not be replacing them with the same tyres

I've been using the Competus Winter 2+ model for two weeks now in snow, slush, ice, and rain. It doesn't give me any feeling of insecurity; it has similar road grip and braking distance to premium brands. I haven't seen many complaints about its durability. I plan to use it for many years.

Giti GitiComfort 215-50-17 Chery Tiggo 7 6,000 miles September 11, 2025
This is the worst tyre I've ever experienced on a wet road on a test car (it was DR Evo 5 which I couldn't chose in the pop up menu). There is literally no grip - I have had more grip on snow covered roads with winter tyres than I had on wet roads with these. They are also unpleasingly noisy and generally feel like they're made of plastic instead of rubber. In the dry they are "okay" in a sense that they're at least not dangerous. They squeal, grip is sub-average, but at least they seem like they try. In the wet they completely give up. Understeer everywhere, no traction, no braking. Dangerous tyre, would not recommend.

Car Make & Model: 2022 Chery Tiggo 7
Driving Style: Mixed — city, long-distance highway, and occasional rough roads
Owned For: ~4 years
Distance Driven: ~45,000 km (28,000 miles)

Review:
I’ve had these tires fitted to my 2022 Chery Tiggo 7 for almost four years now, and they’ve been nothing short of excellent for Egyptian road conditions. Over 45,000 km of driving, the tread wear has been barely noticeable. They’ve handled countless long trips between governorates, rough unpaved stretches, and smooth highways at speeds up to 180 km/h without breaking a sweat.

The grip is excellent both on dry and wet surfaces, and durability has really impressed me. The only slight drawback is the firmness — you do feel bumps and potholes more than you would with softer tires — but it’s a trade-off I’m fine with, given their overall performance.

At this point, I’d say they’ve worn by about 30% compared to when they were new, which is outstanding considering the roads and driving style.

• Comfort: ★★★☆☆ (7/10)
• Wear Resistance: ★★★★★ (9/10)
• Value for Money: ★★★★★ (9/10)

Overall: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) — Highly recommended, especially if you want a tire that’s not overhyped but delivers top-notch real-world performance.
