Writing about the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 rated 99%
while driving a Renault
After analyzing multiple tests, I opted for the SF3 Elect (215/45 R20) for its superior damping and class-leading wet performance. On the 20-inch wheels of my Megane E-Tech, the ride has become significantly more refined, soaking up sharp imperfections that used to crash through the cabin.
A crucial factor in my decision was the Seal Inside (S-I) technology. Since most EVs lack a spare tire, having that internal sealant layer provides essential peace of mind against punctures without the harshness of a traditional Run-Flat.
Yes, it is a B-rated tire for rolling resistance and likely won't win a longevity contest against the Michelin CC2, but the trade-off for "A-rated" wet safety, silence, and the added security of Seal Inside is a deliberate choice. It perfectly complements a high-torque EV chassis that demands grip, refinement, and reliability.

while driving a Renault Megan E tech 220
These came as original fitted tyres, and I was pleased to see they appeared to have some side protection for the alloys.
It still wasn’t quite enough though and the alloys have suffered a couple of dings.
I soon learned that they would lose grip and spin easily even on dry roads and not allow the car to put down the power.
Wet driving really reigned in any thoughts of enthusiasm because, safe grip quickly slipped away.
They did wear evenly though which was pleasing to see, but a bulge in one of the rears spelled a complete set of four when the fronts needed changing. Pity.

while driving a Volkswagen ID 3/Born v3 77kwh
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 easy going miles
Fitted these on a Cupra born v3 77kw with 20" wheels to replace the Bridgstone Turenza 6 Enticity and they absolutely destroyed the range of the car. With temperatures above 5degree Celsius. My normal 3.0+ mi/kwh dropped to 2.2 /2.3/2.4. As soon as i replaced them with a Hankook Ventus Prime 4 the efficiency returned to normal. Avoid if youre needing EV range and cant home charge every evening.
