Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 57% while driving a Mitsubishi ASX 2 (215/65 R16) on mostly town for 10,091 average miles
I had 4 of the tires fitted to my Mitsubishi ASX 2 10091 miles ago when I took the car in for MOT it was failed on N/S/F Tyre showing canvas on outer edge of the Tyre, there was 4.5 mm of tread across the Tyre but was failed on inner canvas showing. I was told that because the tires were 2 years 8 months old they were no longer under warranty I think that 10000 miles is very poor millage for a new tire but cannot find a way to contact the maker to complain so to sum it up I would not buy this brand again and would advise caution.

Given 69% while driving a Audi Q7 (295/35 R21 W) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Had these tyres fitted to my Audi q7 tyres gripped hard in dry weather And never really had an issue in wet conditions for a budget tyre I take my hat off to how good they were. Road noise was at a minimum ( no need to turn the stereo up to drown out any tyre noise . Only downside I could really fault was how quick the tread had worn twenty thousand miles only ) two years and now need replacing. So in general an excellent value for money tyre would recommend as good all weather performance on a budget.

Given 86% while driving a Honda CR V III (225/60 R18 H) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
These Event Semita SUV tyres were brand new on my Honda CR-V when I bought it in October 2019. They seem to be a very good all round tyre and excellent value for money. Obviously the CR-V is no rocket ship in terms of performance so I would say that for driving ‘normal’ these tyres are perfectly good in the dry and in the wet. They handle well and seem to be fine when braking. It was a very mild winter so I didn’t have any chance to try them on ice or snow. Possibly the only negative aspect to them is I do prefer vey quiet tyres, these are rated at 72db, which is at the top end in the noise tables. But that’s me being fussy, most people wouldn’t even notice. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them as they’re only about £72 per tyre. Well worth the money for everyday normal driving styles.
