Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 56% while driving a BMW 218d Active Tourer (205/60 R16) on a combination of roads for 10,000 miles
Big tire wear, very noisy for a summer tire. It did not seem to perform very well on any conditions...average tire...

Given 84% while driving a Mitsubishi lancer (205/60 R16) on mostly motorways for 1,300 average miles
I'm living in Turkey and i used them for about 2000km. very well on dry, wet and snowy roads. One disadvantage is on dry road when you turn on a curve road about 100-120kph speed you have a disturbing sound. That's all

These winter tyres are awesome!
Had to get EU approved winter tyres as I drive regularly to Germany from the UK and these gripped through everything snow, ice, flooded roads etc. Had no problem even when 4x4 vehicles were skidding around me, just like driving normally - definitely recommended.

Given 96% while driving a Audi ALLROAD 2.5 TDI (225/55 R17) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Very, very good in snow and on icy roads. Highly recommended for 4x4's, good tyre wear, low noise, could hardly see any wear after first winter, shame some winters dont even need them. For the value would definately buy again and recommend to anyone.

Given 94% while driving a Honda Prelude 2.2vtec (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
fantastic... truely worth every penny. made the car more stable throughout the cold icey winter months, and gave me more confidence to drive that little bit harder. wear was good still had 6mm of tread after 6months of very harsh conditions. defenatly buy again 5*
