Fitment comes from each tyre's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 245-55-21- BMW 740i 3,700 miles March 17, 2025
I purchased these tires in South Carolina in late October and after only driving 3700 miles the tires indicate a tread level of a 5 this is just horrible, I called Hankook and they explained to me that they are a summer tire with NO mileage warranty and they are a warm weather tire, I advised I am in Myrtle Beach, SC if this is not warm enough for the tires to last at least 35,000 to 40,000 miles then why do they allow shops to sell them in this area but to have over half the tread life gone in only 4 months and under 4,000 miles is just NOT acceptable and in case anyone is wondering what kind of a car they are on its a 2019 BMW 740i Individual that my wife drives so its treated like a baby. Would never buy a Hankook again.

Nokian zLine AS 235-55-17- BMW 740i 15,000 miles April 9, 2022
I have been very impressed with these tires on my 1997 BMW 740i. I drive it very hard and often way too fast but never have they caused me and concern. I replaced an older but almost new set of Bridgestone touring tires and these were better in every way I could imagine. They are very predictable on hard cornering and have the high XL road rating my large and heavy car needs. If there was a concern that surprised me it is that the tires did not handle as well as I had expected of Nokian in snow and ice conditions. While I usually use dedicated snow tires, I tend to leave a change out until there is more consistant winter weather. I had heard that Nokian tires were particularly good in snow and wet. I find that in the wet they do perform well but in snow and ice they are only average. I would not call them spectatcular like I do in dry conditions. They are not bad in any way but I only rated them a 6/10 in ice because I was no longer able to risk spirited driving and had to tone it down a bit. I would definitely buy these again for this tire with no reservations and I have never had as good a tire on my car. A final note is that I choose the All season over summer only tires for two reasons. The first is that I tend to run into winter conditions before changing tires and secondly I was told the treadwear rating of the summer was on the order of 40-50,000 km where the All seasons was 65-75,000 seasons. Quite a difference in life span and worth the extra weather coverage

Kumho Ecsta KH11 225-45-17- BMW 740i 50,000 miles May 29, 2021
Had these fitted after my Pirellis and these lasted longer, around 80k km per set with regular rotation and balancing. These were fitted to an e38 740i which was mainly used for daily long distance travelling. The fuel economy was pretty standard compared to previous Pirellis and Michelin. The tyres really proved to be well balanced in both wet and dry conditions, at a fraction of the cost on the Pirellis P6000 I had previously fitted. I will again for these. Was quite impressed with the longevity.

Nankang Noble Sport NS20 225-45-17- BMW 740i G11 500 miles June 24, 2017
740i G11, staggered 245/40-20 front and 275/35-20 rear. Quiet, stable, and far more comfortable than the OE run-flat Bridgestone Potenza. Near equivalent dry grip as the OE Potenza, but the cornering isn't as precise (these tires do stick), but little more corrections are necessary sometimes. The only complaint is at speed over 100mph, these tires become a little floaty and slightly louder compare to the OE Potenza. Overall, I'm very pleased with how well Nankang NS-20 tires handle the weight and speed of this vehicle. Haven't had a chance to drive on wet surface yet. Fine tires from Nankang, Republic of China.
