These are the first all-season tyres I’ve purchased, mainly because I had a contract in Montrose so had a weekly drive between Edinburgh and Montrose. Most of the journey is motorway driving in wet conditions, with a fair amount of B-road driving as well.
I’ve noticed a huge improvement over the Continental SportContact 7s normally fitted to my A45 S, particularly in terms of aquaplaning resistance, wet braking and overall handling. The car feels much more confidence-inspiring during the winter months.
Driving in heavy rain has also been noticeably less stressful. With the SportContact 7s, standing water and very wet motorway conditions would often cause me some concern, whereas with these all-season tyres the car feels far more planted and predictable.
For my type of winter driving, the improvement in wet-weather confidence has been significant.
