After two seasons and around 17'500 km (11'000 miles) with the Firestone Roadhawk 2 I can summarize my experience as follows:
This is not the cheapest tyre, it's not the quietest and the most comfortable. Also it's not a sports tyre. But it is very grippy and stable in heavy rain, at high speed and in extreme situations like emergency breaking on the highway.
After these 17'500 km (11'000 miles) the minimum tread depth of my Firestone tyres is 5.5 mm. That means, I can expect to drive at least 45'000 km (28'000 miles) until I reach the 1.6 mm mark. According to the last ADAC summer tyre test, this is a good value.
In short: I highly recommend the Roadhawk 2 tyres as safe touring tyre with good value for money.

After 30000 km and 7 years I changed the Turanza T001 because of the age. They where originally fitted at the new car and after that time had still 3 mm of profile left.
Summarised, my experience with the T001 where really good. On dry and wet roads the tyres felt very safe, on swiss serpentines as well as driving with 200+ km/h on the german Autobahn. Just trying to take off fast on wet road can result in tyre spin. On tarmac the noise was low, but not really comfortable.
The T001 is categorised as a touring tyre and that's what you get. If you want to push it hard, buy a Potenza Sport or similar. For my the Turanza is a good tyre for every day use.
