Toyota Venza USA Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 given 78% (225-60-18)
Driving on for 3000 miles
The tires are comfortable and quiet on both dry and snowy roads, have excellent traction in snowy and slushy conditions, but they seem to severely lack smooth ice traction - especially in braking. I live in dry and cold North American/Canadian winter conditions and my experience matches the recent feedback that the compound was changed to improve wet performance at the cost of ice performance. I purchased these tires as dry snowy and icy conditions are common, so those were my first criteria. I've had to change my winter driving habits drastically when it comes to stopping and pretend that I'm using poor performing all seasons. I'm not sure if it's the weight of my hybrid SUV or just the tires, but I expect to lock up and slide through any stop sign when there is smooth ice involved. Overall good tires for the winter except for that one disappointing (and very important) aspect.

I drove these with my Venza and only got like 7000 miles on them. Only realized they were worn after they started skidding in light rain

I have had several sets of these tires (Venza, Vibe, Elantra and Camry). As you can see I'm a repeat customer several times over. These tires aren't as good as a set of Pirelli's I have on my Fusion but for the price, little road noise and decent handling you absolutely can't beat these tires.

Driving on a combination of roads for 100 average miles
I was doing my research on the next on what to buy for my next tires for my midsize crossover SUV. The original set come with Toyo Open Country A20 and it wasn't bad at all. Most people recommended Perilli and Continental but price tag is nearly $300 for each so I go for my good old Yokohama. I did some research and I found out about Blue Earth and Orange oil. I didn't wait any longer to seal the deal $216 each and plus $10 each for my old tires.

Ok here is my honest opinion about the GO55 Blue Earth.

Comfort: 5 Stars. Very smooth on Highway surface and 50% less feel on Bad surface "very elastic".

Grip: 4 Stars. Very nice grip but doesn't really to control to my satisfaction from beautiful surface to small rock dirt road.

Wear: 5 Stars. After more than 100 miles from changed of the tires I don't see any significant change of wear and tear.

Buy again I can't really tell because the next 3 years might come up with a different technology worth the try.

I am highly recommended for this Yokohama GO55 Blue Earth for those who are looking for Durability, Technology, Economy, and Comfort.

For my negative though Traction Test is B.
