Review Summary
Based on 9 user reviews
Drivers generally report the Giti Control P10 as a strong value-for-money tyre with notably confident wet grip and braking, and solid dry handling/steering response that often feels like an upgrade over stock or worn premium options. Several higher-scoring reviews also mention good overall stability and, in at least one case, strong tread retention after significant mileage. The most consistent downside is increased road noise and a firmer/less plush ride (sometimes worsening after a few thousand km), with a smaller but recurring note of reduced efficiency/rolling resistance on some vehicles (especially EVs).
Strengths
- Excellent value for money
- Strong wet grip and wet braking confidence
- Good dry grip
- Cornering and overall handling stability
- Precise steering/road feel for the price
- Good treadwear reported by some users
Areas for Improvement
- Noticeable road noise (can develop or worsen with mileage / certain speeds)
- Firmer ride or reduced comfort compared to quieter premium tyres
- Rolling resistance/efficiency can be worse on some vehicles (reduced range/fuel economy)
Top 3 Giti Control P10 Reviews
Pros: Half the cost of premium tires, comparable rolling resistance to my previous Hankook Ion EVO, and better wet grip with confident handling in rain.
Cons: Noticeable 'weng weng' sound at 80-95 km/h, which may bother sound-sensitive drivers. Comfortable and quiet for the first 3,000-4,000 km, but they get bumpier and noisier afterward, unlike premium tires, which typically maintain comfort until 10,000 km.
Latest Giti Control P10 Reviews
Dry grip is good, wet grip is superb. I've never lost the slightest bit of grip even in intense rain with massive puddles.
Moderately noise and bumpy.
I'm not a spirited driver but feedback and sportiness feels acceptable.
10k miles in still massive amount of tread.
100% worth a try. These tyres are within 5% of performance from the last Michelin PS4 I've used
First, grip. I feel this tyre is slightly better than the conti in the dry. The car understeers less and feel more surefooted when changing lanes at high speed. Wet grip is fine, about the same as the conti. I think for the price, this tyre performs extremely well. I haven't had any instance of traction control coming on when braking or taking a hard turn (I've had some with the conti).
Braking performance is about the same both in the dry and wet. Then again, I still have the contis in the front, so I can't really give a fair and accurate assessment.
The biggest difference I can feel is comfort. The giti is noticeably noisier than the conti, especially in the first 100 km or so. It became less noisy after that, but still not as quiet as the conti, which is the quietest tyre I've ever had. The ride is also noticeably stiffer, not as plush as the conti, but still acceptable.
Another thing is rolling resistance. I'm getting less range with the giti in the rear. Not a deal breaker for me because I drive in the city and charge the car at home, but something to keep in mind for anybody considering this tyre.
Overall I'm quite pleased with the giti, though when it comes time to replace all four tyres, I would be getting something better.
Giti vs. Wanli SU306:
The Giti tires showed significant improvements in both dry and wet grip. After 20,000 km of mixed driving, the Wanli tires experienced a more severe drop in grip performance compared to the Giti P10.
Giti P10 vs. Michelin Primacy 5:
When the Giti tires eventually started to lose their quietness, I switched to the Michelin Primacy 5. However, in brand-new condition, the Giti P10 actually proved to be quieter. Additionally, it outperformed the Michelin in braking distance, cornering grip, and steering precision.
