Writing about the Hankook Kinergy 4S 2 X given 80% (235-55-19)
Driving on for 1000 miles
The Hankook Kinergy 4S2 X is an amazing all‑season tire that performs consistently well in dry, wet, and snowy conditions. I’m extremely satisfied, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable and versatile tire.

Writing about the Pirelli Cinturato Rosso given 92% (235-55-19)
Driving on a combination of roads for 100 spirited miles
After clocking 45,000 km with the Giti Sport S2, and having previously driven on the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 prior to Giti, I have to thank my regular tire shop for insisting that I switch to the Cinturato Rosso. Looking back now, it was an excellent recommendation.

Living in Kuala Lumpur, I constantly deal with road surfaces that are far from ideal. The asphalt here takes a beating from heavy daily traffic, while repeated digging for water, electricity, and telecommunication works leaves behind uneven patches and rough textures. For someone driving a Kia Sorento 2.2 turbo diesel, producing 450 Nm of torque and weighing nearly 1,907 kg, finding a tire that balances strength, comfort, and control is a challenge.

The Cinturato Rosso meets every expectation. On rough and bumpy city roads, it delivers an outstanding level of comfort, almost like gliding on air cushions that absorb vibrations and soften every impact. It truly feels like a shield for the suspension and absorber system. In terms of comfort, I would confidently rate it 10 out of 10, comfortably ahead of the Giti Sport S2 (6), Goodyear Asymmetric 3 (3), and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (7).

When it comes to dry handling and stability, the Rosso performs remarkably well. Its steering response is precise and confident, easily matching the accuracy of the Goodyear Asymmetric 3. Under wet, high-speed conditions, it inspires strong confidence too, its grip feels almost adhesive, just slightly below the Goodyear Asymmetric 3 but on par with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Both dry and wet braking distances are impressively short for a vehicle of this weight, giving a sense of security and control even in sudden stops.

After years of experimenting with different ultra-high-performance tires, I can finally say I have found a near-perfect match for my vehicle’s torque, weight, and driving style of daily city commutes or spirited highway runs.

I strongly believe the Cinturato Rosso is indeed a balance between touring comfort and UHP performance. I have finally found the ideal tire for my Sorento. I will definitely buy it again.

Writing about the Michelin CrossClimate given 97% (235-55-19-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
Only had these only for around 3 weeks now, but these tyres are incredible sticks to the road like s##t to a blanket. Tried in thr mild snow we just had and the extreme flooded roads and there is no sliding what so ever can't comment on the wear as I have only just got them on but so far for wet, dry and that light snow we had these tyres were superb.

Writing about the Giti Control P10 given 86% (235-55-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Coming from Pirilli Scorpions, this set of P10's are a huge jump in terms of wet and dry handling. Never going back for sure.

Writing about the Kumho WinterCraft WS71 given 84% (235-60-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 easy going miles
Excellent winter tyre, and not that expensive. In cold conditions, a confident feel, superb in snow and light off roading. Barely worn after 10000km, recommended for SUV's

Writing about the Davanti DX740 given 81% (235-60-18-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 miles
Half the price of premium brands, and almost as good. Fantastic grip and handling, car feels safe and solid. Comfort is excellent, wear, I don't know yet, only 1000km of use. A very good option for SUV's if you are tired of paying €150-€200 for one tyre. I paid €70 each here in Romania. And they look good, very deep tread depth.

Writing about the Maxxis HP M3 given 85% (235-55-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 average miles
A budget tyre that delivers sure footed handling. Wet and dry weather you feel safe. I am a driver who would represent most drivers on the road. I don't drive at excessive speeds. The tyres are very quite and comfortable. I live in Thailand and tyres are subject to changing road and weather conditions, they have never made me think of any reason to replace them. I would buy them again and I recommend them.

Writing about the Yokohama BluEarth RV02 given 67% (235-60-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
Replaced Nexen N’Fera RU5 with Yokohama RV02. Pretty decent tires for it’s price. However level of comfort drops drastically as the thread wore down and noise increases.
