Michelin X Ice Snow SUV — rated 83%

Excellent snow and ice traction, effortless driving through 10+ cm of fresh snow.

Nokian Snowproof 2 SUV — rated 78%
while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4 for 12000 miles
This is my second season on this tyres. The tyres are good on snow and very good on wet and slushy roads. With 2wd and 5° incline and with 2 inch of sniw I had no issues starting up the hill. Tyre also performs very good on dry roads - winter only. Wear for a winter tyre is also very good. Noise and comfort is ok for dimension. I recommend this tyre.

Kumho WinterCraft WS51 SUV — rated 89%

Good tyre. Traction is very good on snowy surfaces and fairly good on ice. I don't feel any difference between these and former Continental Viking Contact 7.

At any point there might be ice, snow or gnarly outside, the tires tend to loose grip in every bend, roundabout, turn or whatever. While driving normally when the roads are nice, they sure do the job! They are good at stopping on ice, and snow, they are mostly good at accelerating, however almost every time you put a sideload this tyre skids about

Yokohama iceGUARD G075 — rated 83%
while driving a Land Rover Discovery Sport · Driving on mostly town for 10000 average miles
Driven on these tires from the year 2022. On Nordic winter roads. Wear is good. Tires are a little noisy, that is why comfort is average. Snow grip is very good. Ice grip is ok. Wet grip is average as with many nordic winter tires. Used the tires for about 16000 km now and still about 6,5 mm tread left.

Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw — rated 79%
while driving a Nissan Frontier · Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
These tires have seen 2 Michigan winters so far. In deep snow on rural roads grip is exceptional. On unplowed roads while having fun in 2wd there was a lot of grip and never once felt like my truck was coming out from under me. On mixed roads with ice and snow there were no complaints to be had either. On completely slick ice after an ice storm and rain mix the tires were able to still provide traction at low speeds with some activation of abs on breaking and some slippage on acceleration. Compared to other winter tires these are exceptional in all types of snow with better slush performance than a pair of viking contact 7s I had on a previous vehicle. Ice traction may not be as good as other studless winter tires however I do not have a baseline on what a winter tire should feel like on completely slick ice.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 — rated 81%
while driving a Ford Ranger · Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
Went with the Nokian LT3 as it's one of the few tires I could get in an 85 aspect ratio. As an unabashed sidewall (and pizza cutter) fan, I'll optimize for that over quite a few other things.

Starting grip (accelerating from a full stop) is ok in 2WD, but I think this is largely because these are load E LT tires. It's worse than the blizzaks I had prior, but those were much lower load tires. Never had an issue with 4X4 engaged.

Lateral grip is excellent. There's occasionally a little initial softness going into a corner with ice or compacted snow, but this is pretty rare, and the tires are very good at letting you know how much grip you have left. Even with a bed rack and rooftop tent, it usually takes some effort to make the backend swing out (again speaking to the good lateral grip.) Even if the backend does swing out, it's a very forgiving tire to recover.

Rock solid in slushy conditions, I change these out for 235/85R16 Falken AT4Ws in the spring so I can't speak as much to the purely wet or dry performance (but I've never had an issue either.)

Been incredibly happy with them, and the only annoyance is that starting grip from a full stop, but I have chains if it ever bothers me too much.

Nexen Winguard Sport 3 SUV — rated 89%
while driving a Porsche Macan Diesel S · Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
I'm actually reviewing the Wingard Sport 3 SUV version of the tire since I haven't found any online and it's a staggered setup with the fronts being 245/55R20. It has been 1 month since I've installed the tires, mostly it has been driving in the dry and wet, so far, we only had 1 day of snow and temperatures have ranged from -6 °C to +12 °C. I drive a mix of town, country roads and motorway. I won't be comparing it to my previous tires because they were installed in different rims (also 20in) and it's not fair to compare old used tires with brand new ones.
The TLDR is I highly recommend this tire and would definitely buy them again.
I haven't found any weakness, very solid performance on all the conditions I've driven so far, never once I felt the car hadn't enough grip, even in greasy conditions. Surprisingly, the steering feedback and car agility is excellent and pretty much on par with my summer Bridgestone Potenza tires.
Regarding comfort, the tires are quiet up to motorway speeds, obviously a bit louder than summer tires, and are very so slightly harder than my summer tires, in sum the overall comfort is very good.
The fuel consumption has also been a pleasant surprise, with lower average consumption of 0,2 L/100km than my previous tires.
The cherry on top is the price; the other options I was looking for were the equivalent Falken, Toyo or Hankook, all of them would cost me at least 300€ more for the set and I couldn't imagine they would be any better. For me this is a hidden gem of a tire, it's not just a great tire for the price, it's a great tire period.
About wear and ice grip I can't say much as I haven't driven it enough and there weren't proper icy conditions this year yet.

In Canada you can find these tires pretty cheap, I was surprised this website lists them Premium. But that is what they are, look good, ride good. Definitely worth the price.

Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw — rated 80%
while driving a Toyota Tacoma · Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
I've run the Nokian NATs, Toyo Observe GSI6 ICE and Goodyear wranglers. Obviously, this blows the all terrains out of the water in the snow. It's very near to the Toyo in snow, falls a little bit behind in ice. Very progressive tire, extremely easy to understand what's happening under the vehicle in transition between slides and acceleration. Overall, a extremely good value.
