Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Top 3 Yokohama Advan Sport V103 Reviews

Given 97% while driving a Subaru 3.0R Spec.B Wagon 6MT (215/45 R18 Y) on mostly country roads for 14,000 spirited miles
Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec.B wagon.

Set up like a tarmac rally car with chassis braces, custom coilovers, plastic bushings, adjustable rear arms, and stiffer sway bars. Also large amounts of camber and toe.

New Zealand roads which are predominantly chip seal.

Wonderful grip, progressive at the limit. 1st set lasted 22,000 km; 2nd set has done 15,000 km with 4mm tread remaining.

Ford (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 25,000 spirited miles
Great dry grip and good wear, I drive quite hard mostly country lanes and got 25k out of them on the front before the inside wore flat and grip went off the cliff

SEAT LEON 1.8TSI (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Done 20 000 km wear is good. Good grip on the all conditions, comfortable ride and good performance on wet. This tires better than Bridgestone ER300 which were on O.E. More comfortable and have smoother ride. Pleased with my choice the following tires yokohama advan apex v601.

Given 97% while driving a SEAT LEON 1.8TSI (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 2,500 spirited miles
Installed tires Yokohama Advan Sport V103S 91W MO instead of Bridgestone Turanza ER300 91W.
I wanted to be more sporti , but with the same acute reaction on the steering wheel.
My expectations were met, plus I got comfort and less noise.
There were few rainy days, so there is no opinion on the behavior on the wet surface, but not worse than Bridgestone.
At a fast start, the slippage disappeared, the ESC does not intervene or choke the engine anymore.
I like these tires a real premium sport.
Drove until 2,500 km later add a review.
