Vauxhall Omega Estate (RWD) Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Runway ENDURO 916 Plus given 89% (225-55-16-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 100000 spirited miles
Very pleased for the money, these perform at least as well as the Goodyear NCTs that were fitted when I bought the car.

The Omega is very sensitive to chassis settings, which take time to get right. My car has Police spec shocks and springs with polybushes front and rear, making for a slightly firm ride.I use the car as a taxi, running with full load tyre pressures.

The Runways are a bit noisy on a dry road owing to quite an aggressive tread. The upside of this is that they perform well in heavy rain and snow.

I find these tyre well matched to a properly set up Omega chassis and also my driving style. I will continue to fit them as long as they are available.

Well pleased for the cost. Bit noisy due to the tread pattern, but no other complaints.

Driving on a combination of roads for 16 easy going miles
Great shame about the short life: less than 20,000.
Much better performance than the cheap Falkens on the previous Omega. Had these nearly new when bought. All my own driving at average (careful family driving) except in straight lines, like Motorways.
Good grip in most weathers with no tramlining when warm. Then they wore down to 2mm and, phew - rubbish!
A bit too noisy at the rear on this car, at least.

Driving on mostly town for 12000 average miles
In terms of wear i would not rate these tyres highly at all. I've just had to replace a pair of these i had on my rear wheels after only 12000 miles! Granted i do carry heavy loads and lots of passengers on a regular basis but still i would have expected them to last at least 18000. However, in terms of grip, they have been fantastic in both dry and wet.
