Alarming, complete lack of grip in an inch or two of snow and slush, will never touch these tyres again, or any other Dunlop product. Not looking forward to my next journey !

Given 99% while driving a Honda Civic FD1 1.8 i Vtec (205/55 R16 W) on a combination of roads for 3,100 spirited miles
Excellent tires in all aspects. I have tested them in all kind of weather except in heavy rain and all kind of roads. Braking is excellent, no emotions whatsoever. Very quiet. What I do not like: the rim protection is far from perfect.

Given 77% while driving a Volkswagen Golf MK6 1.6 tdi (220/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 12,000 average miles
Very impressed with this tyre at first. Exceptional grip, performance, fuel economy, comfort, the works!! I drove from Swansea to Margate and reached 72 MPG with these at AVG speed of 69mph. Exceptional.

BUT
I reached about 7K miles and realised the outer edges were scuffing BADLY. Had the camber/caster checked by VW. Apparently fixed. Reached 12K miles and now they have started showing threads out of the scuff marks. Needed to be replaced. FRONT TYRES ONLY! Back tyres are still 6cm of tread throughout.

So. My advice for someone getting these for a VW. Rotate them around 5K so that you do not blow them like I did.

Given 89% while driving a Ford S Max (215/60 R16) on a combination of roads for 18,000 easy going miles
Had a set of these on the front of our Ford SMAX TDCI 2ltr. I drive very, very conservatively and managed to get 18,000 miles out of them. Always felt confident when driving with no issues at all, just felt right. I could have used cheaper tyres but as usual I was swayed by my perception of brand quality over unknowns and I'm quite happy with my decision. The car was never pushed to any limits and was driven in various weather conditions both motorway and roads without ever making me doubt their grip. Overall a good buy.

Given 57% while driving a Renault Megane Sports Tourer (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 65 average miles
Shocking tyre for the price. Barely done 20,000 and now they're classed illegal!!

Maybe that's the rub, they drive well and have a grip of velcro in the dry. But that does not mean they should just wear away so quickly. I drive motorway at constant speed on cruise.

The wear on the outer side of the tyre - due to its sidewall softness - is unbelievable.

No I will not buy this tyre again.

Given 71% while driving a Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TDI (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 8,000 average miles

Given 70% while driving a Ford Focus MK2 1.6TDCI 2008 2011 (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles

Vauxhall Meriva (185/65 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 13,000 average miles
I have children X 2 and 1 Dog and these are on my MPV - 13000miles they've only lasted. Previous to this I had Michelin Energy+ and got 16000 miles but wet breaking wasn't as good. I'm not a racer and live Yorkshire Dales, they've coped with slush wet with 3" snow but driving below 20mph. Summer they're great, little noises motorway. However, I do motorway driving and wet is my concern. Do I stick with these or try Michelin Cross Climate?
