The Tyre Reviews Score is the most comprehensive tyre scoring system available. It aggregates professional test data from multiple independent publications, user reviews, and consistency analysis using Bayesian statistical methods, weighted normalisation, and recency-adjusted scoring to produce a single, reliable performance rating.

Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Measured noise was among the best in the test.
Poor dry handling and weak efficiency, with abrupt transitions and low confidence at the limit.
The Goodride Solmax 1 finished 11th overall. It had a couple of positives in the data, including one of the better measured noise results and a mid-pack wet braking distance. However, the core performance results were mostly towards the back: it was slowest in dry handling, last in subjective dry handling, and rolling resistance was also near the bottom. In the wet, both objective and subjective handling results were in the lower half, and my notes repeatedly mention abrupt transitions and poor communication at and beyond the limit.
2025 EV Tyre Test

8th/8
As the budget option, the Goodride Solmax 1 showed significant compromises in safety. It recorded the longest wet braking distance (48.7m) and limited handling capabilities. Its projected lifespan was 31,030km with moderate rolling resistance (7.22 kg/t), providing a range of 373.2km. Despite its affordable price (€340), its safety limitations resulted in a "conditionally recommended" rating, placing it last in the test.
2024 ADAC Summer Tyre Test
215/55 R17 • 2024
12th/16
The Goodride Solmax 1 achieves only a satisfactory rating in this year's summer tyre test, primarily due to its performance on wet roads. On dry surfaces, it fails to provide sufficiently accurate steering feedback, making it challenging for drivers to adjust the steering angle for curves as needed for a good rating. Its handling at the limit is also rated as just satisfactory, although it scores a clearly good rating in braking distance. On wet surfaces, the Solmax 1 receives clear satisfactory ratings in braking distance and barely satisfactory in wet handling, demonstrating a relatively weak grip level and moderate ability to combine longitudinal and lateral forces. However, its aquaplaning resistance is rated as good. Environmentally, the Goodride Solmax 1 has a satisfactory impact, with both its projected mileage and wear rated as satisfactory. In terms of efficiency, it achieves a good rating due to low fuel consumption and a comparatively reasonable weight. However, the sustainability of this tyre, produced in China, is considered adequate.

Given 66% while driving a Opel Vectra C GTS (225/45 R18) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Bought these tyre used, almost brand new. In the first glance was sceptical because it's a china manufacturer, but i liked the tyre pattern, because it reminded me of a michelin-continental tyre pattern (bigger grooves for water). Risked it and bought them. And got to say, i was impressd in a good way. For my car power and driving style they are really good. I mostly drive in the city and countryroads. Expected it to be cheap china tyres with bad performance, but after driving 10k+ km in summer, they are comfy, good looking, good aquaplanning, accelerating in wet is good, acceleration in dry is nice. I mostly drive easy, but like to drive fast in the freeways. Tyres capible of doing 150-200kmh without any issue and stays on the road firmly. Overall - pretty good tyres for normal driving in summer, reliable and cheap. For a good price I would definately buy them again.
