Wet braking is the recurring weakness of the Goodride ZuperSnow Z507 across four tests. It ranked 35th of 50 in the 2026 Auto Bild Winter Tyre Braking Test, 35.2% longer than the best, and 42nd of 54 in the 2023 braking test, 25.5% longer. The 2025 test also put wet braking well down the field. In the 2024 Tyre Reviews performance winter test it finished last of six winter tyres, while wet braking and both aquaplaning disciplines were ninth of nine in the wider winter, all-season and summer comparison. Wet braking was 45.6% longer than the best in that mixed field.
The 2024 tester praised rolling resistance and better-than-expected dry performance, but those positives need qualification. The measured rolling-resistance result was third of nine, 11.5% behind the best, which conflicts with the written claim that it led the whole test. Dry braking and dry handling were both ninth of nine, so exceeding expectations did not make dry grip a comparative strength. Snow and ice gaps were smaller than the wet deficit, but comfort was last of six and measured noise last of nine. The repeated wet-braking shortfall is clearer than any broad advantage, with aquaplaning and refinement adding to the concerns in the single full test.

The BEST Performance Winter Tyres for 2024 / 2025
As the budget option in the test, the Goodride ZuperSnow Z507 predictably lagged behind the premium offerings in most tests. It significantly underperformed in crucial areas such as wet braking and aquaplaning resistance. However, it wasn't without merits - it offered the best rolling resistance among all tested tyres and performed better than expected in dry conditions. Despite these positives, its overall performance and less refined subjective feel make it difficult to recommend over the premium options for those prioritising safety and performance in winter conditions.
