Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TDI (8PA) Tyre Review Highlights
Nowadays, it's not easy to find a sport tire in size 225/45/17, but the Potenza Sport has been a great experience. It has outstanding dry and wet grip without compromise, clearly above the Michelin PS4 and Pirelli PZ4. The tire also has good handling and precise steering. Its grip level was maintained throughout the tire's life, which is a strong point compared to the Pirelli. The wear has been a pleasant surprise. Although I had some concerns based on media reviews, this tire has lasted as long as the two models mentioned above.
In my opinion, comfort and fuel consumption (slightly higher, approximately 0.2 liters per 100 km) are the main weaknesses, but I understand that is the price for an otherwise exceptional tire. Thus, I am having the same tires fitted today.

This is one amazing all season tire for moderate drivers. I have done 80k km on them for 3,5 years. The first 60k km I felt very safe on these tires. Only in the last 20k km I noticed weaker performance on wet roads, slightly longer braking distance on all surfaces and slightly faster wear. The tires still have almost 4mm of tread on them, although it is clear that they are nearing the end and that they cannot go much further.
I only rotated them once after two years (put the rear ones in front), and the climate conditions in which I drove were mostly dry and wet roads at temperatures from -10 to +40. I only drove them briefly on snow twice, but I did not notice any difference compared to winter tires. I did not use them on ice.
Would definitely recommend this tire to anyone who drives moderately and wants quality tires on their car. Considering the kilometers traveled, it was absolutely worth paying the higher price for these tires

I have been a happy Michelin user for more than 400k km but, after a bad experience with a set of PS4 (high vibration), decided to try some other tyre. I was looking for a sport tyre with an OE spec and found a good price for the PZ4. It is important to note that, to the best of my knowledge, the specs of this tyre may vary significantly from size to size. My thoughts are only applicable to 225/45/17 94Y(*).
Dry performance is flawless, high level of grip and very good feedback and handling. In this regard, I would put them over the PS4 and a little bit under the PS2(N3). Surprisingly, the PZ4 is really silent and comfy, which is also a plus for motorway and long trips.
I have not driven in heavy rain conditions yet, but no complaint so far on light rain.
The tyres look as new after 5000 km. However, I am not expecting them to last as long as the PS4.
