Kumho Ecsta Sport S PS72 295-30-20 Jaguar F Type 1,000 miles June 7, 2025

After a few thousand kilometers, I had the OE tire Pirelli P Zero removed and the Kumho Ecsta Sport S installed.
The only thing that is roughly the same is the noise level inside the vehicle.
In everything else that happens on the road, the Ecsta Sport S is superior by far.
Grip on both wet and dry roads, shorter braking distances, better acceleration, better steering and better feedback.
If you don't overdo it, this tire just doesn't want to slip.
I have the impression that I have a changed car.
Unbeatable price/performance ratio.

Pirelli P Zero 295-30-20- Jaguar F Type 5,000 miles April 25, 2025

Absolute rubber garbage, a safety risk even in the slightest wetness.
Only recommended in absolutely dry conditions and when outside temperatures are above 20 degrees Celsius.

Accelera PHI 225-40-18-W Jaguar F Type 5,000 miles January 12, 2020

I bought the car with these tyres fitted. Not great in the dry, but shocking if it rains. They have worn really quickly. I'm off to buy much better tyres. These tyres are horrific, I really do not recommend them.

Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 225-45-17- Jaguar F Type coupe 300 miles January 7, 2019

I had the Dunlop Sport 01 prior to this and only had these fitted because I left the dealer to fit new tyres at a service. This was a poor decision as these are the worst performing tyres I have ever had. They have no grip in the dry let alone the wet. I now have no confidence in the cornering of my F-Type, which prior to these being fitted, went round corners like it was on rails.
DO NOT BUY THESE.!

Continental Sport Contact 2 225-45-17- Jaguar F Type 7,500 miles May 26, 2018

Original equipment on my 2016 F-type v6, 340 hp RWD coupe. Driven summer and winter in New York State but only on dry roads...no rain or snow driving. Below 40F I slow down some but still enjoy the ride, handling and grip. Have 7.5 k miles on them and wear looks very even with plenty of tred depth remaining.

The tires are very quiet, in summer I drive with the windows down below 55mph where wind noise becomes objectionable. Windows up I can't hear the tires on blacktop or concrete. I will not hesitate to replace these with new Contentials.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 305-30-20- Jaguar F Type coupe 4,000 miles November 6, 2017

Put these on the F-Type after removing the standard fit P-Zeros - the difference is night and day. Better grip in all conditions - trying to put the power down in a straight line in damp conditions was impossible with the Pirellis but these really dig in. It's a 550hp RWD car so of course you can light them up but it's genuinely impressive how the 4Ss handle the power. At the limit they are much more progressive than the Pirellis ever were - you feel them start to give way and can react - to have a scary moment in the wet with these tyres requires massive commitment / stupidity. Again with the P-zeros it just required you to want to accelerate before the car was arrow straight. Honestly I've not got close to the limit in the dry, but the feel is more communicative and they are quieter and more comfortable than the P-zeros they replaced. Just a massive upgrade in every department. Not sure about wear yet but they are sold with a much better wear rating off the shelf.

Continental Sport Contact 6 275-35-19-W Jaguar F Type 150 miles February 13, 2017

I took a set of Pirelli Zero's off to fit these. The Pirellis were just about as bad as it gets in both the wet and dry.

The Continental Sport 6 have now been on for 2 days and today is the first dry day.

In the wet these tyres are stunning. Feedback is perfect, grip is better than the Pirelli's were in the dry. Where the Pirelli's lacked stability the Sport 6 is rock steady on all surfaces with lots of feedback.

The real revelation was today though. First dry day and a chance to see just how good these tyres are. Grip is astonishing and even when they do start to let go they still give you enough feedback to keep feeding the throttle in.

Comfort is on a par with the Pirelli's but the F Type is firm anyway.
