Kormoran EU label data

10 of the 21 tyres on record carry EU label data. These are the range's label headliners, using each tyre's best available size figures.

B Best wet grip

1 tyres reach EU wet grip class B. The highest scoring:

B Lowest rolling resistance

The most fuel efficient choice: 1 tyres reach rolling resistance class B. The highest scoring:

67dB Quietest tyres

The quietest tyres in the range are labelled from 67 dB external noise:

Label values come from the EU EPREL database and vary by size - the figures here are each tyre's best declared size. Wet grip and rolling resistance run from class A (best) to E; noise is the measured drive-by figure. A good label is a floor, not a verdict: the tests and rankings above tell you far more.

New Kormoran tyres

The newest arrival in the range is the Kormoran Summer 3. 1 tyres have joined in the last two years:

New Kormoran tyres, newest first
Tyre Season On the market since TR Score
Kormoran Summer 3 Summer 2025 not yet scored

New tyres take time to earn a TR Score - tests have to be run and owner reviews have to arrive. A missing score is a data gap, not a verdict.

I can't believe just how good these Kormoran SUVs are on the front of my Tuscon. After nearly 11000 miles I've still got over 6mm tread left (ok maybe I'm driving too boringly nowadays!), but seriously the wear is fantastically nuts! I've had 'main brand' tyres on before (Hankook Ventus Prime 3 being the most recent) and these 'budget' Kormoran's are at least as good all round and certainly way better on wear. Comfortable, noise, fine for all driving conditions (these tests you read seem to assume we'll all drive like Lewis Hamilton!) - My point being that for normal, safe, legal driving in the UK, they match and beat tyres costing way more. Will I buy again? Too right I will!

Kormoran Suv Summer 215-65-16 Daihatsu Terios 27,000 miles May 9, 2026
I installed in 2021, the RIKEN 701 tires, (exactly the same tires as the KORMORAN SUV SUMMER, TIGAR SUV SUMMER, TAURUS 701) with dimension 215/65/16 102 H XL on DAIHATSU TERIOSΙΙ 1.5 4X4, (fourth tire on the same car). When changing from the previous MICHELIN LATITUDE TOUR (I did not prefer them again because they were not comfortable at all) i noticed a big difference in the behavior of the car. It became noticeably more comfortable in everyday driving. It effectively absorbs any bumps on paved roads (potholes, manhole covers, etc.). As if new shock absorbers were installed!! The car is used as a family car mainly on the road. Off-road it is occasionally taken on vacations and trips. In the summer, on the islands of the Aegean Sea (Greece), for the approach to isolated beaches, on steep, rugged dirt roads with rocky outcrops, no problem arose. Even in the last sandy section, the tires coped on the sand without unpleasant surprises. Unfortunately, they did not happen to be tested on snow although they have an m+s rating. In general, there was no problem either on wet or dry roads (city, provincial roads, highways, etc.). They have been installed on the car for five years (45,000 km) and are going for the sixth year since they have no significant wear. Especially the rear ones are still like new. In conclusion, so far, I am completely satisfied with these tires in terms of grip in all terrains and weather conditions, as well as the low tread wear. But mostly they pleasantly surprised me in terms of the comfort they offer while driving. (surely a heavier vehicle will have different effects on the same tires). I believe that when the time comes to replace them, they will be among my first choices to install the same ones since they offer many advantages, are economical and fit perfectly on my light SUV.

After a few years I'm happy to report that Ive since moved on to already different cars and also tyres.
Nevertheless, I sold these tyres to a friend of mine and he kept driving them for quite some time.
He drives quite a lot, both highways and cities. Most noticeable was how little they were worn, the cracks in the sidewall did not develop further.
Would I buy them again? Probably not as for myself I replaced them with Kumho Ecowing ES31 and they were a far better fit in every category.
Overall - good for the money at the time.

Rankings combine independent test results with owner reviews submitted through this site, each naming the car, the tyre, the size and the distance covered. Reviews are checked by hand before publication, and the page rebuilds automatically as new evidence arrives.
