Very nice tyre. Would buy it again just because of how it looks... It is very comfortable tyre with good feedback. Both on dry and wet it is really good. Aquaplaning is great. On wet they are much better that pirelli pZero but just a hint less god than Pireli PZ4. Feedback was better on PZ4 but PZ4 had far worse wear. Wear on Michelins in negligible (6mm) after 20 000km. So MICHELIN PS5 i would describe as best looking tyre made for touring with such upgrades it can take anything and still manage ok feedback with great millage. If you want to have a bit more fun i would recommend Pirelli PZ4 or PZ5 now or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 6 . For my comfort car and grip without taking it to much to limit Michelin PS5 is best.

I fitted 4 of these on M140i 2 years ago. These are amazing all round tyres. Much beterr grip then the Pilot Super Sports * the car came with. However this tyres lacks some steering feel, its steers very light, coming from worn super sports it almost felt my tyres where still in the air, when driving away after fitting. The limit in dry of the tyres is very far, its almost impossible to reach on public roads. In the wet is feels like you are driving on rails. The are very comfortable, they smooth out ridges and other road imperfections. The traction was great untill the last drive, I got 25k km of out of the tyres. The sidewall looks nice, but the tyres look a bit streched on the rim and bit too much for my liking. I can highly recommend these. However for the M140i the Pilot Sport 4S became availble so I went for these now.

After 5000 km with Kumho Ecsta PS72 i was fed up with vibrations and rebalancing and trying everything to make them run smooth. I switched to Michelin PS5 and what an absolutely lovely tire. The car is completely different. Stable, quiet, comfortable and vibration free. This tire is well known and don’t need any presentation. Buy them and enjoy your car. They just work perfectly!

Very very comfortable, have them on my w211 mercedes e class, changed the car completely, be it comfortability or drivability, only had them for 2 months so I dont know much about durability / wet handling but I bet theyll be better than anything ive had before.

Hello! After years of Ps4s, an excellent tyre, I tried, for a too short period, Bridgestone Potenza Sport (later I will provide my final analysis on this excellent but soft tyre) however, one look was enough, for those who know Michelin, to review this tyre, in fact I immediately had confirmation that it is an excellent Gran Turismo Sport tyre unlike the Michelin Ps4s, where the Racing vocation shines through, I confirm your reviews! So, more comfort, more tread for the rain, lower fuel consumption for sure, as is certainly the better final mileage especially compared to Bridgestone.. let's say that... it's an excellent choice for those who don't want to give up a tyre that still performs but also starts to take a look at the family budget and wallet ahahah at the only price of a lower feeling and grip in racing situations... to sum up... It's a great GTS tyre.

Started of as a good tyre, but now the grip is pretty bad after 18000 km. The durability is very good ill have to give it that, but in terms of grip I expected a lot more.
The wet grip was never really good, but it got worse over time, as did the dry grip. In hindsight I should have bought the SportContact 7. Not what I expected of michelin.

I have used 2,5mm of my tyres in 3 months! Surely this cannot be right! Jeez, how soft are these tyres!
The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 is widely regarded as one of the best wearing UHP summer tyres, so you are either driving incredibly quickly or driving a large amount in those months! If neither of these are true it might be worth having your vehicles' alignment checked.

So I initially got these tyres for a 2nd gen Lexus IS - rolled with them around slowly at the start, then after 1 or 2 months of daily driving i decided to see how it would fair in the curves. I have the XL variant and i can say they're TOUGH. Thrashed on them quite a bit with minimal wear totalling around 30 000 kms, after the which that car died and i put the rims on a 2014 VW polo and oh boy they are amazing for hot hatches, be it hairpin turns, mountain roads or urban driving. Will definitely buy again.

Not gonna comment on the performance as the tyres were build for it. Amazed with the wear rate of the tyre. Able to clock 85k KM before feeling uncomfortable with inner tyre wear (rear torsion beam). However still can drive spiritedly in heavy rain but poorly in aqua planning. Up to 60k tread depth were as good new same goes with the performance. The tyre started to feel less comfortable after 70k KM, higher road noise and harsh ride. Changed to MC7 “on paper better than PS5”, regretted not choosing another set of PS5 due to the lack of road feedback.

bought for M4 f82,nowhere near as good as the continental sport contact 7,in every way.turn in is poorer, grip is poorer and wet grip again nowhere near the conti.only upside is wear factor and they look prettier.,cannot wait till these wear down and stick some conti back on,save ya cash if you have 400-550 bhp and get the conti, they are well cheaper.ok they wear faster but id rather them wear faster than towing my car out a ditch,275-35-19 and 255-35-19

I've been using those tires on my BMW 320d Touring for a year now. Road noise is slightly louder than with the old tires, however those haven't been UHP tires. Overall I am very satisfied. They have a lot of grip both in dry and wet conditions. Autobahn rides with 200km/h+ feel safe and stable. Hunting corners on country roads is a lot of fun too. I don't drive on race tracks though and I am lacking the expertise to evaluate the performance at the absolute limit.
I think the Pilot Sport 5 are excellent for spirited everyday driving.
